LEGO Minions 2020

Recommended Posts

If I imagine a Minions figure in LEGO form, they might use a 2x2 round brick with 2 technic holes with those arms.

Example from a set:

Possibly another 2x2 round brick above the arm section with the face printed on it , but that might look too flat since the goggles do stick out, could be a build as well, but if they'd use another 2x2 with a technic hole, they'd get a hole in the back of their head as well.

35480.png to add eyes on as goggles, which could fit on a 4274.pngto attach to a 2x2 round technic hole brick, also as singular attachment point for the 1-eyed minion.

And then a printed 2x2 dome on top for the hair (like the many R2-D2 LEGO has made).

Since not all minions have the same length, they can customize it easily with some extra 2x2 round plates.

As for the legs, they are really tiny in comparison to the rest of the body, so maybe a bowl piece with some feet attachment might be used instead.

I'm just thinking solutions without immediately using new parts.

I kind of expect them to do something like this in the line for the legs. I think you're pretty accurate with the idea for the body though.

That'd work yes.

Just came across the set numbers:

  • 75546 (4+)
  • 75547 (4+)
  • 75549
  • 75550
  • 75551

It's not much, but at least we now know the amount of sets and that it's not a 4+ theme  Plus it's most likely a 1HY theme

Yes! While I would have never guessed that Lego would have a line of Minions sets, I'm very excited for these sets! Hopefully Lego doesn't ruin a good chance to make some awesome sets and come out with a few $20 sets instead...

It will not be a top selling theme, so we won't see it in the top themes list in LEGO's yearly reports. It will also be sold at a discount in some stores, like all other themes are. Other than that, we will never know how well it sells - whether it is any better or worse than short lived themes based on movies, such as Angry Birds or The Lone Ranger. I imagine some kids will like it, as will some adults. Whereas others have already decided it is a failure before seeing anything from it.

The only set I would be excited about in this line is if they do a minion build like the Yoda/Porg/BB8/R2D2 builds in the star wars line. Other than that I would only want a couple of the minifigures depending on what they look like.

My hope also!
