A-model functions:

- 4 HOGs for each outward expansion of the outriggers. 2 knobs in the front, 2 knobs in the back. In other words, each outriggers swings out independently.
- 4 HOGs for lowering of the outriggers through self-locking linkages.
- Another 4 HOGs for each telescopic expansion of the outrigger.
- HOG for turntable rotation.
- HOG for boom lifting, through regular LA.
- HOG for boom extension.
- HOG for winch.
- It appears the base of the superstructure crane has another level of elevation.

B-model functions:

- 2 HOGs for lowering of the outriggers through self-locking linkages.
- 2 HOGs for each telescopic expansion of the outrigger.
- I can't spot any knobs for outward expansion of the outrigger. But it doesn't make sense to not have them.
- HOG for main tower erection, through regular LA.
- 1 or 2 HOGs for main tower telescopic extension. The main tower is composed of two gear racks placed on top of each other. I spot 1 HOG for the bottom rack, but can't see any for the top rack

Controlling all 4 outriggers is gonna be tedious... But the linkages are pure genius!

Parts in new color:

- Dog bone 3x5 in YELLOW. I spot 8 of them. 2 in the boom, 6 in the undercarriage.
- Gear rack holder in YELLOW

Rare parts:

- 3x11 panels in YELLOW
- T-liftarm 3x3 in YELLOW
- Macaroni 90 degree connector in YELLOW (first appearance in 42094)
- 6 holes pulley wheels in BLACK (first return in 42069)
- Pin hole with pin in BLUE (first appearance in 42083)

It uses the regular LA, not the XL LA in Liebherr. Sorry for this wrong info.

The 2 outriggers in the B models have movement limitors. But I can't seem to spot them in the A model. I really wonder what will be used to stop the outriggers from swinging outwards too far.

Hey, who doesn't want to make a 42061 JCB? :moar:

Is the new centre turntable new it looks a bit more compact than normal?

Shame there is none of the new 32 bevel gears.

I'm very disappointed. Now there is no way to avoid buying the Liebherr...

Most certainly it'll be available in more sets in the future. Remember the long pneumatics and the bucket halves that used to be exclusive to the Arocs.

Just wedge belt wheels?

Yeah I think so. The main purposes of sprockets is to fix the shape and length of the track. If there are small sprockets, they will be placed at two ends of the track, and no need for the belt wheels. If there are medium sprockets, they will be visible, because the belt wheels are smaller than the medium sprockets.

Another weird thing is that in the A model, the control pad is put in the rear side of the crane, which makes sense. But in the B model, the control pad is put on one of the two outriggers. When that outrigger folds inward, the control pad will fold inward as well. That doesn't make sense at all.

I think my first mod for the B model will be to put the control pad in a more proper location.

So far reading all posts it looks to me at least as good parts pack...but I'll deffenetly reconsider whet it will be available.

I’ve noticed something really odd about the outriggers - they’re a 4-bar linkage that relies on limits and stoppers to prevent the extra degree of freedom found with 4-bars... It’s quite clever :oh3:

This is an absolutely brilliant model! Seems like a return to 2016-and-before Technic: all about the functions, and that's how I like it. I will get my hands on one of these as soon as I can (I hope).

I'm still considering whether to buy it or to bricklink and build it with my spare parts. The spare parts from 42082 B certainly makes up a certain percent of the required parts already.
