[TC16] Martian Surface Vehicle - EurobrX Mission

Recommended Posts

For the Mission to Mars contest I plan to build a vehicle specially suited for operation on the Martian surface.

Some first thoughts:

  • Use local energy sources, potentially
    • Wind
    • Solar
    • Gravity
  • Adaptable to the Martian terrain
    • sandy/dusty surface
    • scattered rocks
    • slopes and hills
  • Modular/configurable for different tasks and conditions

What a great idea with the walker. I Have also thought of using the wind-up part to drive something. I am looking forward to seeing what you end up with.

Another possibility is to adapt my Windwalker strandbeest model

Friendly reminder; please make sure you are not using an existing model. Of course you can use certain concepts, but the model for the contest needs to be a new model.

Yep - I thought it was pretty clear from  my posts that these are ideas, not submissions.

I figured you knew, but better safe than sorry. Don't want to waste your time telling you afterwards

I always love looking at these kind of contraptions. Nice work. Keep it up.
