Hi everyone,

today I want to present some wagons I had in the drawer for months.

These Saxon wagons are added to my collection of German steam locomotives. :classic:

What I love of these wagons is the dark green color and above all the third-class carriage with the brakeman's cabin

Let's take a closer look at the three wagons of first, second and third class...

dr-wagon-003.jpg

1st Class: few doors and more space in the compartment;

2nd Class: more doors and less space for each compartment;

3rd Class: very tight compartments and dense windows.

Let's see the other pictures with the comparison of the German older wagons (the small ones with two axles) and the following ones (the UIC large cars) with the passage of the passengers from a carriage to the other when the train is running.

Finally here you can find the wagons with some locomotives! :wub:

I think i need to own a set of these now!  Lol seriously making me rethink building some german engines and rolling stock! These are beautiful.  Now im assuming the doors are static and do not open?

Those wagons look great! The one with the brakeman's cabin is my favorite too. I especially like the 0-4-0 pulling them, as its size fits perfectly with theirs!

Am I right in thinking that the door handles are the handles for the buckets (part 95344 I think)? If so, how do you get them in there?

I'd be afraid of breaking them.

Those look fantastic! The colors and the build are great. Now thinking about all of the wonderful locomotives you keep building you don't by chance have more locomotives than cars, do you?

That's certainly a very smart collection, with a good balance of detail and scale. A perfect compliment to your locomotives, and well executed. Good work!

I prefer the 0-4-0 for the smaller wagons and the BR 59 for these new cars

Correct, the part comes from the bucket and if you split it exactly into two parts you can use both of them as door handles

You're right ...I've more locomotives than cars (this is quite crazy) that's why I'm running for cover, building new wagons :sweet:

Nice wagons, relatively simple yet very effective design. Those doors are really nice with those handles and using tan windows there makes it perfect.

Those are some fine compartment wagons. And the corridor wagon fits well too. All together, an excellent passenger consist.

I agree, these wagons were simple enough to design but the final result is definitely effective :purrr:

Thanks ...as you I like the different size but the same colors of these wagons that well represent the evolutionary cycle :classic:

I had this suggestion from @Duq and I find it a very elegant trick :thumbup:
