[MOC] Oh, Lonesome Me...

Oh, Lonesome Me

As a child, Captain Benjamin "Benny" Thomas always dreamed of soaring through the stars in his very own spaceships...

Perhaps his dreams will come true one of these days but until then it's back to routine maintenance for him.

Was that a Lego Move reference?

Perhaps... :innocent2:

Impressing! I wouldn't recognize him as Lego anymore.

Thank you!

As a matter of fact, they are. I'm a big fan of those tires. They help create a nice simple shape and texture.

Is it all lego? I can't figure how you've done the head! :look:

Impressive MOC ...very sleek!

Funny you both should mention the helmet. I just posted instructions yesterday on my Instagram. You can see them here

The pure emotion that this inanimate object evokes is just crazy; I can totally feel their isolation. It's like Wall-E in spaceman form. I think the slight tilt down of the head does a lot in persuading your brain that there are eyes looking out from under that dark visor. Great  job 🤗.

Great build for the figure.

I like the use of the 2x2 printed tiles on the pipe connectors (?).

He himself could use a bit of maintenance... or a furlough. Feels bad fam.

I saw this in a different, but no less touching way. I thought the (alien) spaceman was huge and the structures on the ground were a human-sized moon base. So he was sad because he was too big to interact with humans...

Thank you so much! Ironically, the head angle was what informed the emotion of the moc.  The construction of the moc forces the head to lean forward a bit, but I think it turned out for the best that way.

Thanks! Admittedly those parts aren't completely necessary, but I liked the print on them and thought they were thematically appropriate so there they are lol. If I'm being completely honest I'm not even sure what set they're from :sceptic:
