[GBW] - Supporting The War Effort - Alsarh - The Hunt Begins

After escaping the Nekrosavov Hydro-Dam the man known as Dusk has remained hidden. Due to threats if attacks continue, Dusk has switched tactics - broadcasting WDS propaganda on a unused radio channel. In an attempt to silence his foul lies a team of elite soldiers under the leadership of Generals Zhaytsev and Kuhlsov is charged with finding him. Until now they have had little luck but a lead as to the location of the broadcasts has come through. Acting quickly the team is dropped of near the location and arrive late afternoon getting into positions.

Zhaytsev approaches the door and bursts through firing.

They enter the building which seems to be deserted.

Kuhlsov spots recording equipment although Dusk is not there he clearly has been recently

Zhaytsev spots something unusual on the floor and investigates.

It seems that the building is only part of their base of operations. A trapdoor leads inside the rock face to a storage area.

Carefully, Zhaytsev crawls through, alert for any rebels who may be hidden below.

The area is clear of insurgents but Zhaytsev spots some illegal hazardous material. It seems as if acts of terrorism are only a part of their operations.

Kuhlsov spots a coded message. The two exit the building, the target is not there but they have gained some valuable clues. They call in HQ and request a forensics team to come and collect information for analysis.

They leave the area but three soldiers remain patrolling in case the enemy returns.

Notes:

- I have got rid of the NVG, this is a light build and they seem out of place.

- I have tried to get more terrain, there is a river and the idea of land nearby eroded.

- The last picture was not intended to be dark but yellow bricks do not photograph well in bright light so I had to improvise - I think this works in the story time frame however please take this into account.

There is some action and good details. The roof made with hands is very interesting, as well as the detail of the round 1x1 plates to simulate either water or a floor appearing to be dirty or flooded.

Judges’ comments…

It looks like you put some effort in on this one, but again this suffers from lack of good pictures. We want to see your WHOLE build, not just a zoomed in scene.  

 I see a bit more building effort going on here, but I need to ask; why does the interior room have a stone floor with a hidden door?  Maybe a smooth tiled floor with an opening door would be a better choice?  Your interior of the one room is very, VERY detailed...but it's a shame I could not actually see how well the rest of the build was detailed.  If only there was an overview shot of the entire build?  Please, take the notes we give you into account.  We aren't trying to act as if we are better than you, we are trying to give you observations to help your builds improve.  Gotta figure out the lighting as well.  Yellow can photograph well, you just cannot aim the light source directly at the yellow or it will be washed out.  Again, please apply these points to your future builds and your scores will increase, I guarantee it!
