Thanks! I'll do that! Unless Sebastian happens to reply so the full amount goes to him :)

Hi Kris,

You can pay via Rebrickable or directly to me. Its like a joint household as i do this in coop with Pete/Cavegod.

All the best, Sebastian

P.S and great that you are interested in his Upsilon. :)

I was a bit hesitant due to the relatively higher price, but Jhae convinced me otherwise. :) Excited to get started on putting the crazy ship together! Appreciate the incredible hard work both you and Pete put into getting these instructions out here for us!

Thanks again, Kris

An amazing MOC! Thank you @cavegod and @Brick Moon.

NB: I discovered a number of inventory errors; I mostly had spares, but the most inconvenient one was Black Train Rails 3228c (require total 12, not 8) which I've had to order extra from overseas (US to Australia); perhaps the instructions have been updated?

Enjoy the following photos.  I designed and built a suitable stand to support the body and allow the wings to 'spread out', with a custom sticker from eBay.  Let me know if the photos are not showing; they are embedded from FB.

Is there another way I can see your pics? I can't see them.

I also started this amazing ship,,,but find some parts of the instructions very hard to follow. Was wandering did you had a hard time with putting on the wings? The body is 90% finish and trying to see how to put the shaft thru. It looks like I need to take apart some of the body to do this. I'm I wrong?

To attach the wings to the body, it's easier if you remove some of the rear sections first.

Wow,,,thanks for that information. And amazing job on your stand. Did you need to reinforce the wings to keep them from braking off? Absolutely amazing ?

Wings are not reinforced. However, unsure about long term, because it's currently sitting with the wings upright.

did you have issues with attaching the wings? I dont understand on how to attach them. the wings have 3 holes to hook up, but we have too install 7 technic axles. What can you tell me to help my anxiety?

Thanks in advance

Shawn

The extra axles provide reinforcement, to hold the body together.  All the axles thread through the Technic bricks and the 3L liftarms inside.  The only tricky bit is making sure everything lines up (all the holes) for the axles to push through.

I love the design of your stand, is it possible to get some instructions for that? Maybe a parts list if its not too much to ask? I would even pay you, no problem. Cause I believe hard work and common sense is worth something. ;)

Thanks

Shawn

@shiny_car Can I please also get instructions and parts list for the stand? 🙏🏼

A question to you guys who built the Upsilon. Is the ship durable enough to "move around" in "flight mode", without falling apart? @MegaShawn

No problems, will send.

The wings are quite heavy.  In flight mode, they put quite a bit of strain through the main body structure.  It's ok to move around, no issues, but I've always been gentle.  I would not consider it 'swooshable', but definitely 'movable'.

Thank you so much @shiny_car🙏🏼

you can send it to:

kim.lundgren88@gmail.com

Let me know if you want some cash for the effort. No problem for me since I believe hard work should be rewarded 😊

I've emailed the Stud.io file.  It's not instructions, but should be enough to work out how to build it. lol, don't need payment!

I have just purchased the instructions for this massive set and can't seem to find where the following parts fit in, can't seem to find them on any page, part number is 3711 Technic Link Chain, are they actually used, or have I missed a page, can see where part number 3873 Technic Link Tread goes, any help would be much appreciated.

Did not build it yet but I also don't see 3711 - such errors happen. Btw, from 3873 you will need 54 and not 48.

They are used to wrap the engine modules to give them a texture.  Look at the last picture in @shiny_car photo post above.  You can see them on the one engine in the rear (right side of photo).  Hope this helps.

FWIW: I fooled around with a couple different placements of the different treads to see what I liked and varied from the original design. Feel free to experiment as @cavegod says and make it your own. :D

I been looking for a good stand and your looks awesome @shiny_car! Would you be willing to share the part list/instructions or stud.io file?

Best regards,

OFS
