MOC: T44 diesel locomotive PuP

Recommended Posts

This is a Swedish T44 diesel locomotive, in two color schemes, and both equipped with the "new" Powered Up system.

The PuP battery box withg it's slimmer height is better for locomotives with limited space heightwise like the T44. Also it means battery change is quite easy.

Very nice.

Agreed!

The front ventilation grille looks very interesting. I don't really understand how you built that... What part(s) is it?

Thanks. It is a plate 1*2 with ladder ref 4175, assembled with half stud offset, so it becomes flush with sides.

Ah, thank you. I didn't know they exist in blue and orange, so I never thought of that possibility. But it's surely a clever solution!

I think you could also do it with jumpers.

Half stud offset normally means jumper plates, so that is what I used.

That would have been my guess, but someone said the ladder piece.

No you misunderstood, it IS a ladder, but the ladder is hold in right position by jumper plates. That is what I meant.

I like the way you've detailed the hub...  Does pressing the 2x2 jumper stud plate activate the hub or do you need to remove it?

I love the ladder grill it's great parts useage
