Honestly set looks great, but price makes me instantly frozen...after recovering I have decided just to buy sprocket wheels and to see 11 x 7 frame...

What about this 11x7 frame, can it be seen on the video?

I must say i'm impressed, is good to see some new parts which might be game changing like the controlling system with so many channels and those longer (and fantastic) LA's , the price is a bit high but i think is just because of the new controlling system

Seems there is a rudimentary programming system in the app, does this mean they're targeting it at the mindstorms audience as well? Those have always been very expensive sets for the amount of lego in them.

Digging the new pieces, but I don't like it too much where technic is going. It took me years of careful collecting to get the power functions and pneumatic going, and now they just go with the darned PowerUP stuff. I sure hope it has some extension wire pieces and connector hubs as the PF has the convince of daisy  chaining both PF and older 9V motors and LEDs.
The price is exorbitant to say the least. First the Bugatti and now this. Sure it has 11 motors and 4K pieces, but i hope there are some more entry level models with the new motors.

That's right. It looks similar to Boost programming interface but for adults.

Sheo built simillar excavator TerexRH400 early. It was on Rebrickable as MOC-1874, but now can't find it.

P.S. I've got the instructions for it.

At least  230e for just 958 part ?!! Good god, that is the worst price/part ratio that i have seen so far. Those hubs and joints better be made of stainless steel, custom forged and milled by hand...

As a mechanic from Excavators i'am verry happy with this one ,and the TLG is pretty early this year with the anoucment from their Flagship for 2019 .

I hope the controls works smooth and fine with the new control system .

It’s going to be an expensive Autumn.

I would rather buy shoes to my wife than spent such amount on Liebherr, despite it is great set IMHO

Nice addition to the topic @ifilin :classic:

That should be the aim of the whole Powered Up system, to extend the programming and the sensor using ability to all lines not just Boost. The App-Controlled Batmobile also has 3 customizable action buttons with Boost-style commands, I guess this will be the same with different program blocks. Hopefully once the complete system will be introduced there'll be a central app that can control and program every hub.

Guess that's for Christmas this year then.

I have to look for bad things to say because I do not want to spend that money so...

The undercarriage is a little big in scale.

A bucket build with pieces would be better I hate this kind of bricks... it is not usefull even for a R9800 excavator.

I preffer sets with gearbox, seeing the size of this set is must almost empty inside.

The price.

I will need 10 more for not loving it...

To add to my thoughts in the 2019 thread I like that the new frames are white, it's excellent that they are coloured the same as the model. I also notice that the phone is recieving live inclination angle information from the model. You can see it on the phone when it drives up the ramp. So that's cool and a nice authentic touch.
