Forestmen MOC - Lego 6054 + 6066

Recommended Posts

Hello,

In 1990, when I was 10 years old, I was a huge Lego Castle fan. Now that my son started working with Lego, I unpacked my old sets again.
Since I came up with the idea to upgrade the sets with new parts.
Black Knights and Forestmen were my favorites.

Hi Wanderer,

Let me be the first to welcome you to Eurobricks.  It's a great LEGO fan community with some wonderful members.

I missed out on the Forestmen sets back in the day, so always enjoy seeing pictures of these great sets and the MOCs they still inspire.  Restoration projects are always fun.  Nice job!

Again, welcome and keep building those Forestmen creations!

hello, thanks for the warm welcome.

It is important to me that you can recognize the original model immediately. like with new - alternative bricks but I will not use custom weapons, figures etc.

Lovely! The hideouts are well done and the merry men look menacing!

Wanderer1980, you must be the same age as me. :classic:

After the Wolfpack, Forestmen were my second favorite (sub)theme. As a kid, I remember only having the Forestmen's Hideout (6054), but wanting the other, larger Forestmen sets.

Great job on revitalizing these sets, making them look more "realistic" but maintaining that classic look and feel. Your MOCs are more how I always envisioned the Forestmen.

For example, it makes more sense for the trees to be brown than the original black. And that the Forestmen would have used more wood in their construction than black or gray stone. In other words, materials that would have blended into the forest surroundings.

Great work! Brings back a lot of memories.
