2019 Box Office Predictions and Discussion

Hello everyone. The new year has been here for over a week, so it's time to start looking at the future. Thought this would be a fun topic to make to predict and discuss the Box Office of the year. I think it will be fun too look back on and pat ourselves on the back for being right, or laugh at all the ones we got wrong (I had A Wrinkle In Time on my list last year, so a big facepalm for that). Just a note but my list is worldwide and not just domestic.

9: Captain Marvel

8: Shazam

7: Detective Pikachu

6: Spiderman: Far From Home

5: The Lion King

4: Star Wars: Episode IX

3: Toy Story 4

2: Frozen 2

1: Average Endgame

Sounds about right, although I'd switch the two Captain Marvel movies. Shazam looks good, but not outperform-a-Marvel-movie good. Also, considering how many people are sick of Frozen at this point, I could see Toy Story doing better than Frozen, especially if it keeps the Toy Story tradition of topping the previous movie going. I could also see Aladdin in there somewhere, but certainly hope that won't be the case.

I expect TLM2 to end up 17/18th in the list

Unless endgame breaks 2B as well, i think SW will surpass it, i gdt that a lot, a lot, of people didn't like TLJ, but come on, last Skywalker star wars movie will definitely make as much as TLJ, probably more

I agree; I think Toy Story should be above Frozen 2. It will be interesting to see though.
