PolkovnikOnTheWhiteHorse Posted January 7, 2019 Hi all! Let me introduce my new MOC: Sulphur-crested cockatoo. Quote The sulphur-crested cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) is a relatively large white cockatoo found in wooded habitats in Australia, and New Guinea and some of the islands of Indonesia. They can be locally very numerous, leading to them sometimes being considered pests. A highly intelligent bird, they are well known in aviculture, although they can be demanding pets. Thats all, I hope you enjoed! Comments are welcome. Have a nice day! You can check my other MOCs on my flickr or instagram.
jimmynick Posted January 7, 2019 (edited) Those eyes are amazing! Excellent use of the minifig ruff to make the eyelids. Everything else around the head is lovely, too. Great work. edit: Is the iris a Clikit? Edited January 7, 2019 by jamesn
GrandDukeofKumquats Posted January 7, 2019 If I walked into a room, and this was sitting on the table, I'd think this was the real deal! The head especially is wonderfully textured, and that beak is almost surreal.
ExeSandbox Posted January 8, 2019 Amazing! The clever usage of parts is out of this world! The entire bird itself looks really adorable!

MAB Posted January 9, 2019 12 hours ago, PolkovnikOnTheWhiteHorse said: Thanks;) I think almost all except croissant and minifigure's collar. If you mean this part, it does come in black. There is something about that eye. No matter which view you look at, he always seems to be looking at you.
peedeejay Posted January 9, 2019 Fantastic part usages all around. Love it!
rodiziorobs Posted January 9, 2019 The shaping of feathers using more standard-fare slopes is really well done, its quite realistic. Then I look around the eyes and beak and see the incredible parts usage and technique to achieve the same effect, and its really mindblowing. The anchor in particular took me a good while to recognize. Fantastic
Carefree_Dude Posted January 9, 2019 You did such an amazing job! Any more birds in your future?
PolkovnikOnTheWhiteHorse Posted January 9, 2019 Many thanks! 10 hours ago, MAB said: If you mean this part, it does come in black. Oh, thanks for the info, so only the croissant is missing;). 3 hours ago, Goldenmasamune said: Any more birds in your future? Not in the nearest future, but maybe... In fact I don't really want to make similar things multiple times and have a bunch of other ideas for MOCs.)
