I too overlooked the first LEGO pictures thinking they were of the reference material. Well done!

If I'm allowed to comment, I'd say that the engine is a bit bland compared to the exterior - seems a bit out of place...

I first look at this post a couple of days ago and was wow, the Mack Anthem looks simply gorgeous, then you post the Titan!

For a lego truck nut, pure porn and that landoll trailer is just icing on the cake.

Extremely fantastic results, absolutely think everything looks great, I am especially fond of that copter would love to build it for myself even. I would also like to see how you were able to achieve such a tight turning radius, belly shot would be great. Like to know where you got all that chrome done at too.

Yes, I know. The engine is just such a rectangular box - even with functional cylinders, just a box.   

I built the TITAN in 2014. At that time, I was more concerned about the engine and made it more realistic.

I will make a detailed photo of front wheel attachment (axle) in the coming days.

I sprayed most of the chrome parts.  It's also not mirror-shiny like the original chrome parts, but the effect is nice. And it's a lot cheaper.

I'm not a fan of American trucks but this is a very impressive model. Great work on getting both the truck/trailer and the helicopter to look so real, the curves on the heli look awesome, far better than anything I could do.

Sorry for going a little off topic here:
Just for those who didn't know, the Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw was also built in the UK under licence by Westland and was called the Whirlwind which was also bought by a number of other countries. Personally I prefer Westland versions of the H-19. Westland also build licenced versions of the H-34 (Westland Wessex) and S-61 (Westland Sea King). The Westland Sea King is by far my favorite. British International used to run a passenger services between Penzance and the Isles of Scilly (small group of islands about 28 miles off the Cornish coast) using 2 Sikorsky S-61 helicopters. RNAS Culdrose in Helston used to fly the Westland Sea Kings. I think the Westland Sea King was/is better looking and quieter than the S-61. The tory government scapped the Royal Navy and RAF search and rescue services a few years ago and the Coast Guard now use the deafening and ugly S-92 things. The noise those thing make is horrible, you can hear it from miles away. Guess that's what happens when you don't bother to design a rotor disk properly....*Hint hint Sikorsky*

I found your Brickshelf album on this truck ealier in the year and is what inspired me to build my own version. Although my version is based on a European style lorry, with a different trailer configuration and fully remote controlled (except fifth wheel couplings). The cab unit is almost done but I've not started the trailers yet, they are still in the design stage. What is/was this road train like to reverse? I'm starting to get the hang of reversing 2 trailer on Euro Truck Sim but 3 trailers must be really tricky.
Still...awesome work on the Mack/lowboy with H-19 and on your road train.

Roadtrains dont really reverse.. there is too many pivot points.

B-Doubles are not nearly as bad, with practice, can be maneuvered proficently. But not a Triple - well not with accuracy

The greater the number of pivot points, the greater the challenge and thus the more fun it is. I find easy things, like reversing single trailers, really boring. I like a challenge.

When are you going to post a video of the heli flying??? Coz it sure looks like it could fly :D.

Sorry but quite false. Plenty of tasks around here require these MC operators to reverse into loading ramps or be able to turn around by reversing the set into a perpendicular street. These guys also happily pick up a third trailer by reversing a loose (ie not B-double) trailer pair up to it with the lateral accuracy of 200mm required to pickup to tow pin.

 

So yes, they really do reverse, and there are plenty of examples on youtube (eg "Reversing 3 trailer road train") of Australian drivers doing so, including around corners as well as straight reverses.No one says it's easy, but there's a reason we have graduated licensing schemes and you can't get to an Multi Combination license until you've held a single trailer (Heavy Combination) license for 2 years and a rigid (HR) on top of that for another year. There are some fun videos with drone footage showing guys reversing quads (4 trailers), although these have combinations of rigid trailer connections - ie no dolly.

 

The loose trailers also wander around, especially without active steering dolly's, going forwards and is the reason that none of these trains is allowed into major centres and most have to drop the third and/ fourth trailer before entering regional centres as well, meaning there isn't a great deal of demand for long reversing, except to pick up trailers.
