After going a bit crazy, here's a much more historically accurate build.

Johnny has a new leather jacket.

Side note: the toughest part of this build was finding the stupid Plate 1x2 modified with handles (bricklink 3839)... took nearly an hour.  C&C welcome as always.

Lovely build all around. My favourite detail is the exposed roof rafter, but the process is depicted nicely too!

And there is great marketing value in the first picture! :D

Historically accurate indeed, especially the first photo:pir-grin:. Nice build!

I can’t help myself with a little humor!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I think I could have done a little more with the base for the build.

Any more would have cluttered the space.   I think you did it just enough...  Or are you talking presentation in the form of a base?

I really like this one -  actually I was looking into the tanning process myself recently for a planned build and I really like how you depict the process here. A nice clean build, well presented. Great job!

@Roadmonkeytj presentation in the form of a base. Any more pieces or figures and it’s too much.

@Ayrlego thanks... depicting leather is strange. AFAIK you can use cloth, brown tiles, or brown hair pieces. I’d be interested to see what you come up with if you build it!

That is really, really good. Seems rather accurate, nice minifig posing, and great scene overall.

Looking forward to your next MOCs!
