Robert8 Ideas for CMFs Advent Calendar 2018 - LDD MOC

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

It is Christmas time again, so here is my new Advent Calendar!

This year, I chose to have a collaboration with my friend here in Eurobricks, Robert8, and his wonderful CMF ideas. There are hundreds of great minifigs there, so I made renders from 24 of them.

There are some which I already made, and many use newly created molds, that are not in the LEGO database, but plenty of them can be made. Take care, that I didn't copy them, most of the printings are self-made, and I made slight alterations from time to time. Let's say they are "heavily based" on Robert8's ideas. I can tell, that I chose at least one from each series, but some of them were more preferred than others.

So let's start!

Indeed! :moar: I must confess though, I was hoping to see some all-new archetypes rendered by @Yooha for this year; but, these alterations to your already excellent work are both surprising and most exciting! :sweet:

Day 2 - Scarecrow Lady - Series B

Ah, so not just mere design alterations, but recoloring too! :sweet:

I must say though, I would've gone with a more rustic shade of green for her shirt, such as Olive Green. Or, if it were only available on LDD currently, the new Vibrant Coral would've been a more rustic take on the shade of pink @Robert8 chose for his render. :shrug_oh_well:

Day 4 - Toy Clown - Series K

That's a great solution for the box using preexisting parts! But, how's the key supposed to be attached? :shrug_confused:

The box should be a 1x2 brick and a 1x2 Technic brick with a hole, and a...technic rod thingy. I cheated here thought and the key is not attached actually.

A minifig Advent Calendar would be great, I'm not a fan of random blind bags and "feeling" isn't very viable as most of my local stores don't even seem to have CMF on shelves.

Of course we got the City fun in the Park/Beach/Outdoor recently, which grew the population of my collection significantly.

The Sensei Wu beard looks like this in LDD, I don't know why.
