Harry Potter 2019 - Rumors & discussion

Another small build to compliment the sets: Dumbledore’s memory cabinet.

LEGO Harry Potter: Dumbledore’s Memory Cabinet

Showing how it is constructed:

It’s a bit fragile at first but holds together well when compete by using the stud with a hole in it to clamp down on the cylinders.

OoOoh, really cool ideas, thanks Bug.

Thank you that means a lot :)

There are some more small ‘accessory’ builds like these on my Flikr page, more to be added soon...

That leaked owl that was discussed here a while ago has now been shown to be part of the city line, good news is that it’s in a rather cheap set (10-15 dollars I’m  assuming) so it’s a good way to get that owl for our Harry Potter displays!

Hopefully we get more owls in sets in the next waves, in both waves so far we’ve only gotten hedwig in a few sets and the owl that came with Cho! We want more owls!

Here's the set that has that new owl print, which might be nice for HP mocs. Who knows, it could turn up in the HP cmf series 2.

I don't think lego will just rerelease a City owl in the HP CMF, if the CMF has an owl (or more) I'm 99% sure it'll be new versions

Yes, we definitely need more owls in HP sets, nice that city has given us a new one a least :sweet:

I had a chat with Justin Ramsden on the inside tour where I told him I was very satisfied with the new WW sets we have gotten the last 2 years, but one thing was lacking compared to earlier waves; OWLS!
He smiled and said he should remember it, so if we get more owls next year you know who to thank

I Hope we get more too :), owls are quite special for HP

I remember the old original sets had an owl in almost every box (but they were the less nice unprinted versions)

LEGO was also fond of putting a spider in almost every set...they have not done that so much this time thankfully.

Maybe we could see more nifflers or even pixies show up as random animals in future sets too :D

So if the white bulldog is in City, what about the brown one? Could it be Ripper from a CMF? I can't say Marge and Ripper are at the top (or even lower really) on my want list, but it does not seem to be from the new Hidden Side, City, Friends or Ninjago sets. Do any DC characters have a bulldog companion?

I could if the CMF or set was coming anytime soon, looks like that it not the case so I guess it is in the next modular :shrug_oh_well:

It's definetely not from the CMF, actual pieces don't leak 9 months in advance

It's a shame that the film didn't include the part at the end of PoA when Harry gets permission to go to Hogsmeade and gives the delivery owl to Ron. If they did we might've got Pigwideon in a set. Maybe even a small owl mold.

It's still possible, Pig appeared in promotional photos for GoF. It's a long shot but not impossible

It is possible that Lego have used the mould budget from city to make a English bulldog so they later can use it as Ripper in a HP set:shrug_oh_well:
They definitely did that with the updated rat before the first WW wave in 2018! That would also make Marge a likely candidate for the next WW CMF series:wink:

Keeping on the subject of owls another new mould I would expect Lego to do is a proper specialised birdcage. They appear all over the video game (see below), and could appear in many sets across the themeLego-Harry-Potter-Years-1-4-large-718.jp

I hope that is the case :)

Marge specifically is not that important to me but if it is true that Lego is going to be this thorough and is planning it out long term to give us great new moulds then we have lots to look forward to  :)

I think it'd be a bit intricate. By the size of the brick built cage for Hedwig in a poly bag (this year I think), it'd be hard to get the sizing right. I think it'd have to be like a stud taller than the normal dome piece (the one often used for glass cases).

It would have to have a bigger footprint than 2x2 to fit an owl inside, maybe 3x3 would be enough. Hollow stud in the top, the base could be the round plate with bars all round or the one with 4 tow bars or some other solution

I was looking at the Upcoming Trolls sets and noticed that in the $30 set, the figure is a centaur based character with the normal shirt attached to it. New mold and Overlooking the blue color but.... the sizing is so much smaller than I would of expected to make a horse/centaur figure. I would want a little larger, but the scale worked. Just interesting side note.

Yes, we talked about it when the Trolls teaser first came out.

Obviously the Trolls centaur legs aren’t compatible with any other theme, but hopefully now that Lego has done one version we’ll get a ‘realistic’ version soon enough.

Hay guys check out his video on IG showing an epic expansion of the UCS Hogwarts, complete with the Clock and Astronomy Towers

I hope in a few years the Hogwarts castle set range gets close to as complete as this :D

Hi everyone I have finally got round to putting up my Hogwarts castle sets concepts that I showed a preview of earlier.

It’s a lot of words at the beginning I’m afraid (a bit of an essay actually, sorry), so be warned, you will be reading the thought train of a young engineer having fun solving a puzzle.

I’m submitting it in chunks, hope you enjoy seeing the new set ideas when they get added. :)

Cheers

A new book with Hermione minifig! HP do not get any polybags it seems, but it sure gets it fair share of books *huh*

The HP Bricktober pack (the one with Hooch, Slughorn, Umbridge and Boggart Snape) is currently on Amazon UK for £20.

Does anyone think it's worth it? As I think we'll get Umbridge and Slughorn in later sets anyway, and I don't care much for the Hooch minifigs, so £20 feels a bit much.
