  1. 1. Best Disney Series so far?

I don't think it's possible for the legs to be triple molded given the coloring on the top of the feet, but perhaps Lego has mastered the art of printing on all sides.

Love all the new hats. The top hat is great. It gives us more options for hairpieces that have the peg connection hole. I hate the lack of hair on the regular top hat, so being able to connect it to a hair piece is great.

Am I the only one who thinks it‘s amazing they made the effort of producing unique moulds for Chip and Dale? They easily could‘ve printed Dale’s unique characteristics (tuft of fur, 2 teeth, bigger nose) but they moulded them instead

Is anyone else annoyed they're still making Elsa's hair the wrong color???!?! It should be sand blonde...

Very glad to see Scrooge, but kind of disappointed with the lack of anyone else from my wishlist and overabundance of Mickey characters (yet no Goofy), especially with what is essentially repeats with the Steamboat characters.

I have a feeling the triplets are going to be a nightmare to find, though...

Im getting Simpsons Series 2 vibes from these, which is not good.

Reused characters, reused molds, and not twins like Patty and Selma, but TRIPLETS this time around.

The most liked minifigure on facebook is Jack, but thats not surprising considering how well made he is. Just stunning. His box gift is just a piece of art.

Wow what an amazing line-up! Hades is definitely the highlight for me! :wub_drool: I love the mold they've created in the place of his legs as I feel it can be used for a lot more than the specialist mold for Ursula in the first series. My other favourites are Jasmine, Jafar, Elsa and Anna, I'll probably try to get all of those as they're perfect fits for the characters and instantly recognisable! I love how cute the entire front row of animal characters are but I don't really feel the pressing need to get any of them really. I'd definitely rate this series as better than the first one though!

Woke up to the official announcement about a week before I expected and WOW was my predictions list off.

Although I suppose my predictions list was predicated on Lego using the same proportions of modern to classic characters as last time, and there are no classic movie characters this time around. Very disappointed, since I thought Cruela DeVil and Winnie the Pooh were pretty safe bets and I was looking forward to them.

Also kind of surprised that Lego gouged into prospective Ideas set sales by putting almost the exact same figs in the cmf.

A little bummed there are only 2 Pixar characters, but at least they’re 2 awesome Pixar characters. (I need that Edna Mode)

I know I'm saying this right in the midst of this Series' unveil, but I do hope we'll not have to wait as long for a potential third CMS after this one. Ideally, Lego could set a date of August/September 2020 for Disney Series 3 after the potential releases of Wizarding World Series 2 in January/February 2020 and Series 20 for April/May 2020 (if we were to presume that could be a possible gameplan).

All in for a series 3 prediction thread hahaha

Frozone legs going on Captain Cold.

From what I can see, they're a tone too light. Looks like the same legs from the Beijing store exclusive.

Kinda disappointed that they didn't use this mould for Zero to go with Jack or Sallie. It would've worked great with a red print on the nose.

I doubt we'll ever get a Lego version of him now.

I’m utterly agog that they’ve done (are doing) two full sets of Disney Minifigures without Goofy.

It’s nice that folks who want “Steamboat Willie” Mickey & Minnie but have a hard time affording / justifying the price of the Ideas set can get just those figures, but it’s still peculiar.

I can’t believe someone thinks this series is “lazy” (!); some of the selections are odd, perhaps, but they’ve clearly put more work into these than needed. Rather than use the same Donald / Daisy head mold, they did a new one for Scrooge, and another new one for Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Rather than do one new head mold for Chip ‘n Dale, they did specific ones for each.

I’ll try to get them all, as I did the first time around.

Love all of these! Any predictions on what the D2C is now? Expecting Goofy in there.

Unless they make him as a ghost/haunted mansion butler theme it seems to take the haunted mansion idea off the table since traditional goofy wouldn’t quite fit into that theme. Same goes for a pirates of the Caribbean ride set.

i know there are some hoping for another castle which goofy would fit the theme but personally for me that would be a disappointment.

I’m starting to lean towards a Main Street set or train set..would be a “universal” theme and Goofy would easily fit right in. Creating some Mickey balloons would be a sweet move for LEGO to make too for a Main Street set.

I agree, I'm guessing it'll be the Train or Main Street.  Makes the most sense.

They cant

Disney characters cant be included as accesories for other Disney characters. That would mean the series has 19 Disney official characters, not 18

Additionally, if they used that mold for Zero, it’s likely that they then couldn’t use the mold for the Hidden Side—because it would be classified as a non-generic license specific mold, which couldn’t be used outside Disney licensed products.

Why not? After all, The Simpsons did SLH and Snowball 2 that way.

Do you guys think that Anna's and Elsa's hair is made out of rubber or soft plastic? The molds do look quite complex and I know some hair pieces have been rubber before so wondered if that was the most likely option

It's not an absolute given if there'll be a third CMS for Disney; so, until then, I guess speculation of such can take place on either of these two topics:

On a side note, I completely overlooked Hades' new lower assembly piece!  :oh:

Odd.  The triplets dont have moveable feet but Chip and Dale do.  Wonder if its because of the two-tone coloring or just for design purposes.  Also, the ducks dont have the "duck" tail that Daisy and Donald had last wave.  Thats a little disappointing.

They do, you can see it very clearly in the individual pictures. Scrooge also has the tail in blue with white paint on the tail itself (I don't think that's dual molded).
