One thing I really like in Technicopedia is the groups of models in the same categories. They demonstrate how Technic models have evolved over time, and how different building techniques are used to create the same type of model.

One deficiency of the groups, though, is that they don't take B models into account. And since Technicopedia has come to a stop, the updates in the groups stop too.

So I decided to start this thread. It is intended for a number of reasons:

- Sharing model comparison pictures. And not just models, but subassemblies also. As demonstrated below, I'll share the comparison between various undercarriages.
- Browsing and requesting model comparison pictures.
- Charting the evolution of Technic models.

And since I own a number of B models in addition to A models, I can meet some requests related to B models as well.

I take pictures with my phone, so they are not of the highest quality. And I don't have specialized plain background, so a number of objects may find themselves in the pictures. Please excuse me for that. Besides, if there is any other angle that you guys want to see, please request.

Wow, 42082 is bigger than I thought. I'm not pleased that you put the 42054 chassis through hell like that. Anyways, can't wait to see more of these! (Especially for big sets)

Great topic! May you compare 8043 and 42053 assembled?

I didn't thought that the 42082 was that big. The critics about its number of pieces for its size don't seem justified.

Both are 1:8 scale and both cars are similar size in real life. The Porsche has a slightly higher roofline and I think the Bugatti may be slightly wider

I always enjoy seeing pictures that compare sets or mocs side by side. Moreover, it could be even better to do that in digital tools, so that you can have the comparison under any angle, with perspective or orthographic cameras :classic:

Any chance you could do a comparison of the two volvo loaders? I'd love to see the RC one and the "Automated one" (which should be RC or at least have pnematics) side by side.

Imma do you one better. I'll compare THREE volvo loaders side by side. With a cameo from another lesser-known loader.

Oh wow, I really look forward to this! Is the third one the B model from the excavator?

Yes. I have a separate 42053 for the B model. My copy of the 42081 will arrive in two weeks. You can expect pictures at the end of this month.

Man, that B model is going to look so tiny compared to the other two.

There is gonna be another (4th) loader of the same scale to join the gang, so that 42053 B has a set of its own size.

Bad boy ZEUX arrived yesterday. I didn't intend to compare ZEUX with RTC, but since RTC is on display on the table, I think some side-by-side shots would be interesting.

Moreover, the RTC works much better than the BWE.  I think they are both amazing models, but BWE is just on the edge of what's possible, while RTC is robust and playable.

Wow, the two loaders side by side look great! I think I prefer the old loader as a model (especially since my son likes to play with it) but I love the details on the Zeux! I have the Claas wheels on my RC Volvo loader, and they look really good on it.
