Agent Kallus Posted July 10 Adventure is an interesting word, “Don’t adventures ever have an end? I suppose not. Someone else always has to carry on the story.” “Sorry! I don’t want any adventures, thank you. Not Today. Good morning! But please come to tea – any time you like! Why not tomorrow? Good bye!” “We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner! I can’t think what anybody sees in them.” “This is a bitter adventure, if it must end so; and not a mountain of gold can amend it. Yet I am glad that I have shared in your perils – that has been more than any Baggins deserves.” 'This is a story of how a Baggins had an adventure, and found himself doing and saying things altogether unexpected.' “I’m going on an adventure!” Adventure is a word that makes me think of Baggins. Team Bag end?

Team Bag end? I'm very much hoping for a bag end set, perhaps even Hobbit themed? Would be a cheaper option depending how they did the set, and the adventure quote does align with Bilbo the most. I don't think I would particularly enjoy that as a set (my preference would be a highly detailed Bag End with the full compliment of Dwarves) but it would still end up on my wall. MAB Posted July 26 13 hours ago, Lordhelmet said: Seeing the dungeons and dragons minifigure line really makes me wish they would do a LOTR one. I doubt a LOTR CMF line would be as interesting as it might sound, at least for existing LOTR LEGO fans. CMF have to appeal to a lot of people, unlike the large 18+ sets, so almost certainly they would repeat the nine characters in the Fellowship. This is what they did with the Simpsons CMFs (repeating the main five each time, and having them in the Simpsons House) and the Harry Potter series (repeating Harry, Hermione, Ron). It woudln't be so bad if they gave them new outfits, but even if they did, it would probably be just slightly different prints like going from the 2012 sets to Rivendell. For anyone that already has the original figures or the newer figures, that would probably be not so inspiring. Then what do they do with the other three places (or 7 if they go for 16 in the series). That could make or break it for existing fans. A CMF series would be a nice way to introduce a lot of characters not seen in the boxed sets and I am sure a lot of existing LOTR LEGO fans would like this, but given there are no small sets then the number of people wanting incidental characters if they don't already have the main characters is going to be relatively small compared to those for other licenses where the CMF can be used by themselves or to add to widely available sets. CloneCommando99 Posted July 26 A new ROP S2 trailer just dropped. It looks better than the first season. Elrond’s armour looks fire. Hopefully it actually is better than S1. I quite liked it, especially the music, Arondir and costume design, but it did have a lot of flaws.

Season 1 was terrible to me bad acting, script was not coherent, story broke lore several times, lots of issues with season 1. I don't have a good vibe from what I've heard about season 2. I did like seeing the Dwarves city in season 1 and some of the visuals were good but the sets looked bad and a lot of the armor and costumes looked cheap and not on the level of GOT or HOTD. There's a slight pattern with two now, but definitely not enough to guarantee another. I was just wondering if there were another one coming, when people's guess is that we'd start hearing about it. Rivendell and Barad-Dur were released about 15 months apart. If they were to release another one based on this gap, I suppose it'd be around fall of 2025, but I'm not sure when news might leak. If I'm being honest, I'm just craving another set and want to talk about what might be on the horizon lol. Edited August 2 by mirkwoodspiders

I think Rivendell was "testing the waters" and Barad-dur was "riding the wave", so to speak! LOL I feel like they might wait before releasing another set, although, as I have said, I do not mind at all if they release one early next year.
Roebuck Posted August 2 They probably have one set more or less finished now, if they release it depends on sales etc on the ones already on the marked.. I assume they will show it of during the RLFM days in September if it comes out 1HY next year..
PsychoBuilder Posted August 2 Exabricks has confirmed that more is coming, so we know it’s at least soon enough for leakers to know that something is coming. The question now is simply what that something is.

If they choose to make another one, and at this point I would take it at almost granted they will do so, they will just put it up for next year, with the month decided by many factors. Same as waves of themes don´t have fixed release dates, and change from year to year. That beeing said, they could aswell go back to releasing it sooner again. Since they mentioned tht playscale sets are more fun (see the interview with Rivendell designers), I think TLG go big, probably full slice of Minas Tirith with 800+ USD price point. I think the set will be more focused on overall shape like Barad Dur, since its extremely large. So detailed gate, courtyard and tower with theone room accesible and playable with minifigs and the rest will be scaled down significantly. My guess is 7-8000 pcs. + 20 or so minifigs. Some orcs (perhaps 4-6), Witch King, Theoden, Eowyn, Pipin, Merry, Gandalf, Faramir, Denethor, 2-4 Gondorian soldiers, 1-2 Rangers, maybe 1-2 Rohan soldiers or Army of the Dead soldiers, and possibly Fell Beast + couple of horses. Bag End and Helms Deep was already done decade ago. And from what we know, they would go with the path of other unreleased never before seen sets… Edoras is not as iconic as Minas Tirith and Minas Morgul or other Mordor sets doesnt make sense, with Barad Dur released this year. So big conflict scene is inevitable :) On 8/2/2024 at 3:57 AM, hikouki said: Is Lego now committed in releasing a big set one year after another? I would not mind though. Not sure. But I am with you, that newer locations are more likely like Minas Tirith, etc.
