The City Space sub theme is mars mission!

The entire subtheme is defined by that?! *huh* Huh, but, only one of the set names mentioned in an Instagram post of yours explicitly mentions Mars. :shrug_confused:

Are there any descriptions of the individual sets by any chance? :classic:

Just heard that several sets are going to tie into a LEGO City TV show, wonder how populated with in show characters they'll be.
(What came out of Google translate)

Is this what that Instagram post of yours referencing @Falconfan1414, the one naming the two characters Jack and Parker? :shrug_confused:

I was just wondering if there were any descriptions particularly making note of the spacecraft's color schemes.

I’m not 100% sure but apparently those are from a new theme not city but I’m not 100% sure of this

What's suggesting that they're part of new playtheme rather than a subtheme of City? :shrug_confused:

While they are in the LEGO City number line, I wouldn't be shocked of the possibility they had a bit of different branding to make the TV tie in connection clear and possibly to avoid people thinking existing media (AKA LEGO City Undercover) is apart of it

From the earliest announcements, I thought it would be lunar themed. Mars doesn't excite me so much. I sincerely hope it is not an alien fighting theme this time; City should be about peace.

Doubtful. It's probably more just an attempt to keep on the cutting edge of real-world developments in space travel, so I wouldn't expect any actual aliens to show up whether as friends or enemies.

I suspect there will still be some fantasy/sci-fi elements, but based on the set names it'll once again be the type we see all the time in City/Town mining and exploration sets, where the researchers are hunting for mysterious and sparkly crystals rather than stuff like rocks/minerals/ice samples that, to kids without background knowledge in that field, wouldn't really stand out as anything special or important.

Mars mission sounds great !

Also I wonder if one of the space sets will include some new or old animal like a dog or chimpanzee since we sent them in to space before us although I’m sure this won’t happen but it would be interesting if it did.

although I was hoping for a farm theme since the last one came out ten years ago.........

There’s a few of those available right now:

- 10758 T. Rex Breakout

Both at €54,99 (price on Dutch/Belgian S@H).

Yesterday zusammengebaut gave in their video some more infos:

The Opening Of The Donuts Store will include a donuts store, a small toy shop, a crane, a taxi, a city coffee bike, (when you search for "city coffee bike" on ecosia.org, you'll find pics what that supposably shall be), TV team and police.

The Fairground Minifigures Pack will include small versions of an ice cream stand, a shooting stand with stud shooter and three targets, a duck ring fishing stand with a new duck mould and a "Hau den Lukas". There'll be a clown on stilts. And the torsos will be very well fitting.

I can't await to see some pics of these two sets from NY Toy Fair in 2,5 weeks!

There is a description on Instagram

It seems these are actually licensed set, because they come with the NASA logo

I've heard they're supposed to be "inspired" after NASA, but branded as such too?!

Huh, so, what else did this IG description offer? I can't seem to find it myself. :shrug_confused:
