Joey Lock Posted March 23, 2008 I got Half way through the Making and realised that I would see the Unicorn to...Oh well it gives a scale. I base the sloop upon the one in the comic: (Could we have closer Pictures, mabye a review) Well here it is: (The little bit by the side of the unicorn is some spares I need) Whatta yah think? *sweet* It took me around a Hour and a Half to Think, plan and create. I know the time since I was wacthing the Whole of SpaceBalls *y*
Captain Green Hair Posted March 23, 2008 You've done quite a nice job there Joey! *y* Way better then what i can do with LDD that's for sure. The ship in the comic is however not a sloop, but a Xebec. I will post pictures somewhere late this week for you to observe. ;-) Keep it up mate! :-)
El Bucanero Posted March 23, 2008 I'll sue you for doing that! There's a Tiberworks Copyright
Joey Lock Posted March 23, 2008 My Upgraded Xebec! I used my own technique to slant the sails since LDD doesnt have the flap things

Mister Phes Posted March 25, 2008 I would love to show you this in real! But...My LDD isnt working in Online mode, Ive messaged the Lego Support but no replies yet. I'm not familiar with LDD so could you tell me what Online mode is?
Admiral Blockbeard Posted March 25, 2008 Online mode allows you to price the creation, order online what you have made and create the packet your creation will come in. It is very cool. I am yet to check prices compared to brick link but it could be another way of ordering in bolk the pieces you need... come to think of it, it could help the shortage of your normal blocks... im just not sure on poastage costs... and as for minifigs, we can nearly forget it they have very limited range... i dont think i left out any functions oh but ldd does also have an explode your creation, something rather amusing, watch it explode into indvidual bits then reform infront of your eyes. (not part of online just a feature)

I haven't checked out LEGO Digital Designer in years now but last time I did mini-figures weren't even an option. Nonetheless I think it's a great concept but too limited in it's current form for my liking.
Admiral Blockbeard Posted March 28, 2008 Yes it definitely fails in comparison to MLCad... i am in love with it, although as some have said it is hard to know if they have "clicked" into place. Once i get this annoying Law Assignment out of the way i will have a good play around and post my findings...
