Hello guys,

a new month is arrived with a new locomotive of the European tour :classic:

...time of a ride in Holland...

...with the NS 6500!

The NS Class 6400 is a type of 4 axle diesel-electric freight locomotive. 120 (numbered 6401-6520) were built by MAK and ABB between 1988 and 1994 for Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

I wanted to replicate the locomotive numbered 6500 with the yellow/gray colors because is the livery a love the most!

The locomotive now keeps company to the younger sister NS 345 :sweet:

I've wrapped the windscreens with yellow stickers because the pieces do not exist, creating a punched adhesive to apply, and I'm quite satisfied with the final result

ns6500-016.jpg

As usual the locomotive is equipped with lights and switches

I'm planning to use these two Dutch locomotives for the coils and torpedo wagons waiting to build a yard for steel production (one day...)

Now enjoy the pictures ...and see you next month in another European country!

High quality and nice choice as always - it is a pleasure to watch!

Another good shot! :thumbup::excited::laugh:

P.s.

The big wagon reminds me a cement mixer (if I remember well) I had when I was a kid - Lima H0 - I hated it because I could not put all wheels on track!!! It derailed easily beceuse we had a too tight curve radius!!!*huh*

Thanks Davide (as always)! :classic:

The torpedo is a big wagon made by Thyssen Krupp to transport liquid metal

Really loving the livery of the engine. The flatbeds are nice too!

I'm particularly smitten with the switcher, though. It's quite cute!

I immediately recognise these locs from my home country. Good work, very realistic.
You have a good eye for proportions and details and can pick interesting subjects.
Keep on :-)

Yess! It's that thing - I thought it was for cement!!! I searched it  yesterday on an old Lima Catalog - it was a "steel mixer"!!! :wub_drool:

Beautifully true to prototype, but retains LEGO charm. Love it!

You're very kind ...thank you!

Great work again. It is a perfect match with the real one.

I am not a fan of an overload of stickers. Usually they are very visible... But you managed to do a really great job on the window. At first I didn't notice them all. (Although I should have known they are not available in yellow)

Beautiful, like all of your models. And indeed, your sticker solution is really skillful!

Oh, wow! The history of the steel and coal industry is one of my major interests, so I'm very keen to see that project!

I'm not a fan of wrapping too and I hope Lego will mould this piece in yellow in the future :sweet:

This looks fantastic. Love the colour scheme and the similarity to the real loco in your photograph is very accurate indeed. I also really like the small engine 345 in the fourth pic as well. :classic:

Wow! You never cease to amaze with your builds. As is the norm of your high bar, the locomotive is stellar, and this time around the coiled steel is simple but brilliant.
