Space Repair Garage: The Comic

Recommended Posts

Hello and welcome to the Space Repair Garage!

This is a comic project that I've flirted with over the years, but I finally have the resources to make it right this time.  The idea started on a LEGO Message Boards thread but I eventually created my own story combining our roleplay adventures with my own collection.  Please enjoy!  Your feedback is also welcome; I would love to keep improving my skills.

Space Repair Garage: The Comic is posted every Friday morning.

The first three "pilot" strips:

As i said on Flickr, awesome work, can't wait to see where this ends up heading.

also, you might want to post your big capital ships from Flickr in the Sci-Fi forum... they are too big to not be recognized for what they are - spectacular!

Looks good! I like how you depict the ships in the space scenes over several panels. Gives a lot of motion and flow. More please :classic:

Okay, I am reading this comic...

even if it looks like Han Solo v Stormtroopers

Yay, another reader!  These characters are definitely inspired by Han Solo and other sci-fi rogues, but this won't be the only storyline I follow in the comic so stay tuned for more.

I like Rexx's tip of the hat. Is that Spider-Man with a mermaid bra in his crew? :-)

Close, it's a Catwoman face.

Nifty space battle.

I notice that all the parts you draw are actual LEGO pieces. Is that correct?

I try to keep it that way.  At the very least, the people and spaceships are all things I've built in real life.

It goes a long way toward creating a true "LEGO-ishness" for the comic. I certainly like recognizing the real pieces that you've illustrated.
