LM71Blackbird Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) Class 7 Frigate "Marlin" Imperial Flagship 1 - red version by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Out of the Quinnsville shipyards comes a lightly armed frigate! She features a spacious gun deck and has plenty of room for troops or cargo. (OOC) Only the first picture is done in Corrington colors. The reason for that is because I originally built it for Lego Ideas and was to lazy to render another 10 pictures showing off all the angles and features. Nothing is different except for the colors and sails. Enjoy! It was supposed to be the ultimate Imperial Flagship. It's true colors are the Red, White, and Black though! Anyway, thanks for checking it out! C&C are welcome and appreciated! Not quite sure on the class though, she is 9 hulls long which would put her as a class 9 or 10, but she only has the lower gun deck and the top deck. If @Bregir or someone else could clarify I would be most grateful! Edited May 1, 2018 by LM71Blackbird
Ayrlego Posted May 1, 2018 Wow, that is one impressive and powerful looking ship! I especially like how you build it removable for access to the inside. Great work!

Bart Posted May 1, 2018 It's a nice TLG style ship. Clean but with plenty detailing, nice of including the winches to lift those launches. But I'm going to challenge your class 9 classification. It may be long enough based on the midsections, but as far as I understand the ship rules, a class 9 should have multiple decks. and yours has just the one. If you look at the examples given, aka the bench mark moc's, the class 7 Margot and the class 8 Triton, are both two decked vessels. You call yours a frigate, and it's build in the frigate (not even a heavy one, but okay that is maybe hard to do in bricks but then mention it in the text), and from classes 7/8 upwards I always considered ship of the line territories. anyway it's my opinion, and just that. Thank you! Yeah, I was kinda confused about the class. I knew it didn't really fit as a class 9. I'll make sure to change that! Thank you for your input! 5 hours ago, Elostirion said: You, sir, are a great shipwright. Lovely work! Thank you very much!
Darnok Posted May 2, 2018 A marvelous ship indeed, great work! I love all the playability, while it is still a nice design at the same time. Well done!

Fraunces Posted June 28, 2018 I like the inside but the ship is too long I think. Play ability is nice but now all the extra space does not compensate for a less realistic look.

This one of my earlier ships and I originally built it for lego ideas, so some of the design elements are more geared toward that. The HMS Resilience is currently the pinnacle of my shipbuilding talent though. Thank you!
