MOC 10188 Death Star, 200+ LED's

Is this 10188 set the 1st to be lit up like this? Unfortunately I cannot upload any pictures because the files are too large! Frustrating!!

Wow, great job, those lights look fantastic!  I especially like the turbolaser effects and the prison corridor.  

I'm curious, how did you get these parts to light up? 

 

As for the files being too large, eurobricks isn't meant for photo hosting, so you'll need to upload the photos to an external site (like flickr) and then link to them here.

As for drilling the 6x2's I placed the sticker set on 1 6x2 and placed it side by side with another then spent up to 30 mins copying the light shapes onto the other 6x2 then carefully drilling with a dremel handheld drill.

Very tedious but it was worth it in the end!

After the tedious drilling the forms on the face of the 6x2's I carefully drilled the inside to make way for the LED's and wiring, 2 LED's were "daisy chained" together and if I needed another 6x2 lit up on top I just drilled a 1.5mm hole in the 2 top studs to feed more cable through!

Time well spent mate, if Lego did something like this when they reissued the set id have spent good money on it!

I never liked this set, but the LED-work is stunning.

(Now you just have to learn 2 things: how to post these to Eurobricks, and ALWAYS shoot video in landscape mode  )
