MOC: Swiss IC Train with Re 460

These are the first pictures of the latest contribution to my train collection:  a Swiss IC Train with an Re 460 locomotive (partially based on an idea by @Stefaneris).

In addition to the locomotive, the train consists of five 1st class coaches whereof one is a panorama coach.

The train has a total lenghth of 2.3 m and is equipped with four 9V engines.

Quite fascinating to watch this unit climb all the way up to the Swiss mountains and all the way back to Knivsta Station - in two minutes!

Goose bumps - and a touch of homesickness ...

Oh, nice! The locomotive and cars look really great. A big sticker though...

They look great. I think you did a good job on the proportions with the cars over 46 studs long.

For the Re 460 you could try using the 2x2x2/3 round slope for the front to make it rounder or the 2x1 cheese slope to substitute the 1x1. The pantographs are well placed and hidden if looked from the side, just as on the real one.

I tested several alternatives. This is probably the best alternative to make the front look rounder:

I think the front does indeed look rounder, I know it's hard to make round shapes out of not-so-round-bricks.

Amazing work. This train looks beautiful and very true to the real one (have been lucky to be a passenger on one of these a few years ago!).
