(MOC) - Cavegod's UCS Sandcrawler

Recommended Posts

This Cavegod sandcrawler is just incredible! Cavegod.. please don't stop putting out the manual etc, I'm not quite ready to do it now but I would definitely buy the manual and all the bricks needed in the future! Can it all be bought as 1 kit?

What other creations have you made Cavegod? Did you make an AT-AT too?

Thanks!

Here is my beauty and how you could have seen it at the Lego Fanwelt 2018.

This is the technical site I was talking about previously. 2 Servos are controlling the movement via switches. Above you can see a peak of the light panel I've installed in my interior.

The interior pics seem to show the the dark tread part no 3873 running the length but I can't find it listed in the parts list.  Can someone help out?

I think you need 170 elements/parts for the conveyor belt!

30 for each of the 2 shorter ones and 55 for each of the the longer ones!

Bricksmarlin, thanks for the info.  Two questions: what do you mean by shorter and longer ones and what color(s)?  DBG?

Hey guys, Wondering if someone can help me. I can't seem to figure out how these two joints connect together. I've been going over the instructions and it looks like I did everything right.

I've been looking through the pages and can't seem to find it. By any chance you could post a pic of how this joint connects? Thanks  :)

Use plate 3794b above and underneath 57909 (brick with ball) to move the upper side walls backwards by a half stud.

Then it should look like that.

My pleasure!
Check the pictures on side 11 to get the sidewalls mounted correctly!
Awesome collection by the way, and very nice pics!
The "monarch" is one of my next projects, can't wait to built it myself!

Yes, thanks to your detailed photos, I fixed the alignment early on when I reached that point of the build. I didn't catch the link for the missing end ball and cup socket pieces until now when you pointed it out. Haha  Thanks again. The Monarch is for sure one on my favorite builds! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
