sed6 Posted February 9, 2018 (edited) My first IRL MOC! Just 20 studs long. Also my first real BL order, man is that a learning experience in itself. I made three with the intent to sell two to cover my cost in the third, but they look good together so I'm keeping them all! legobanker Posted February 9, 2018 Those are pretty impressive. Are they 6 studs wide?

Yes, I borrowed basic design (cylinder pieces and their connecting middle) from 7939's tank car. Edited February 9, 2018 by sed6
Duq Posted February 9, 2018 Good start into the world of train MOCs! I'd call them tankers though, not hoppers...
Paperinik77pk Posted February 9, 2018 Really nice tanker cars!!! Good start!

It's even harder for many of those who don't speak English as their first language. ;) That being said, I wouldn't want them to translate all the names for the different categories, bricks and pieces. Anyway, those tank cars really do look great. They blend in well with other official sets like that 60052. I too would have kept them.

AE bricks Posted July 11, 2018 Great design. You could close the small gap in the dish by placing another 2 stud wide black steering wheel in between the 4 studs. I've done some similar tank wagons in light bluish grey and yellow accents. Not skilled in posting photos yet
Roadmonkeytj Posted July 12, 2018 Very nice indeed good for modern trains and simple enough to modify for steamers
rahziel Posted July 13, 2018 Nice job, I would keep them too :)
