Our specialties are mostly other substances than drinks

are you allowed to drop hints of good it is, or is feedback zero until the 1st?

To be honest; I am not really sure what I am allowed to hint. I still need to find out. I am always careful, even when it comes to showing box images for "upcoming reviews".

We drink lots and lots of coffee... no. 1 in the world. (or at least high in the top 10, as this is old research).

I also do not know exactly despite fact that my best boss was one particular mr Hermann from Amersfoort in Utrecht region who I never asked because he enjoyed Croatian cooking (and local drinks...). I have just remembered that @Jim nedded double coffie during one review...sorry for offtopic

Hello everyone,

Isn't it possible to have access to the part list of this set? There are already a lot of pictures of people buying this set at Legoland Billund for example

Thank you in advance

Hi. Welcome to EB. Non of those people have posted a picture of the part list. If it will pop-up somewhere, I'm sure it will be shared here.

It's a respect/etiquette thing. Besides, imagine you make a movie, would you want people's all important first impressions to be based on grainy, low quality, partial leaks, or a well thought out official presentation? There's also the issue of those cretins in China stealing Lego's ittelectual property, we really don't want to give them any help at all by showing them what parts in what colour and what quantity they need to produce in order to leech off of Lego any sooner than necessary. So as for why they are selling the sets in Legoland already, I have no idea.

Neither do I. What's to stop their employees from going to Billund and obtaining these sets? TLG's logic is out the window here.

Anyway, steering us back to 42082, it's really really big! Discuss.

It's been discussed to death and beyond already.

Well, at least I got us back on topic. Unless everyone was okay with the availability discussion? 'Cause I'd swim to Denmark right now to grab a 42081! Maybe throw in the forklift as well.

Not really a compelling reason to bite the hand that feeds us all...

I've got mine a couple days ago. In Poland it's available to buy over a 2 weeks I think.

Finally black banana gears! :)

If you need any more picture just let me know. Currently I'm assembling this set.

Things I noticed in the part list:

  • First set to come with 5x7 frames in two colors
  • First set to come with dog bones in two colors
  • 6 driving rings, but only 4 changeover catches? So there must be a 4-way (or more) switchbox that uses one switch to control two or more driving rings.
  • Why orange and green 3x5 beams?
  • Also, yellow beams, blue #1 connectors, white bushes-with-pinhole, for no other apparent reason than easy part distinguishability
  • No blue 20t clutch gears
  • Has at least 117 gears, which is quite a lot

Because one catch is used for 3 rings in the H style gearbox at the top.

And 1 gearbox on either side for outriggers and slewing plus 1 to shift between those 2 and the H-box.

It is quite an asymmetric model:

5 left, 6 right small red panels
only 1 5x7 curved red panel
3 left 3x5 red panels
1 right 3x7 red panel

I've never seen so many unmatched panels in one set ever.

Because it would not be a modern technic set without them

Not a single worm gear? And how does the boom stay in place when extended?

Also, RIP my intention to build a forklift as a C-Model.

The chassis is wide but the gear rack is only 7L and there is no tow ball connector liftarm -> Ackermann steering

Generally if you like to avoid color vomit you need to replace orange, yellow, bluie, green parts because early assembly look like someone out of control took random colors and mixed them together.
