why they have moved the hub pins to the rim instead of the hub /brake disk is this a feature of the Bugatti as it seems opposite to every wheel hub assembly?

I think they designed it like so to hide the pins on the rim and create a better, more realistic, appearance.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of this brake disk piece, not just on the "ultimate supercar line".

I don't think we will because it has a specialised rim to go with it. Sure, they can do it with pins but that doesn't seem like a TLG solution to me.

No need for a special rim. Use normal rim and 3 black pins.

Also we still have the same engine mount ends which were designed to use with studs. a new stud less design would have been nice with some additional pin holes.

That is again a missed opportunity, that monstrous engine in multiple layers is the most ugly part of this car.

The new yellow part has 8 notches so possibly less backlash? (assuming it is a driving ring extension).

What's the problem with that? The hub seems to accept regular rim just fine. You just need 3 pins.

Ohh car key. I know Chiron has two of them, one to start the engine and second to unlock more horse power as the real engine has got some locks. As on that key there is quite long grey axle, it might unlock some functions in the model, like that rear spoiler or something :)

What new yellow part? The rotational changeover?

Or they need these parts to reach the piece count of 3599

This looks gorgeous - just blown my Lego monthly budget on a Lego UCS Millennium Falcon at £650 UK so this will have to wait till I have more funds, but I will 100% be getting this set. Loving the colours, not liking the stickers so much sadly.  A set of this size and expensie should not have stickers, but then the UCS Millennium Falcon has stickers, so oh well.

Loving the brake discs, I think this is an amazing looking Lego Technic model.

I am sure it works, but as I said it's not exactly a TLG solution.

I disagree. For the key customer-group (who are not AFOLS) moving and well visible pistons are a key feature... realistic size is not the most Important criterium for a technic component like the car Engine - with the size argument you could rate down each component, especially the gearbox. Imho most important is, that one can see how the basic mechanism works...

all mechanisms built with lego have much larger size than in reality....

and: for sure bugatti would have put in a veto against this big engine if this monstrum would be too ugly....

Ok. Thanks. It’s kinda hard to see though. Let’s hope it works just like the old extension that many of us use.

Hahaha, instead of that they could give additional parts to convert Chiron to Bugatti Vision concept :p

That was my thought, too. But with this amount and type of parts, it will surely be quite expensive :sceptic:

The engine is mostly covered anyway. If it was a problem, they could have done something similar to the Mack solution.

I reckon Lego have a roadmap of introducing just enough interesting parts in each model to make the doubters buy. Now we have a working transmission, the next step could be a new engine block or indeed stronger driveshafts/differentials. I imagine a Ferrari will be the next one so the engine might be the key novelty for that.

Any idea where stickers #2 and #9 go?

Yup, 2 is the interior door panel, 3 probably the bag that is hidden beneath tje front hood. There is not to many stickers to be honest for model this size, I think the Bugatti logo placed on grill is actually printed :)
