Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return - Sewers

As the party nears the tower gate, the group notices Rinti and Bluedvi shoot off two small flares of blue light. A green and red light spiral through the air in response as the heroes sneak toward the obelisk. The air is filled with a high pitched singing as fairies dressed in armor swinging weapons of pure pixie dust attack the tower from both above and below. Black and dark robed figures scramble about the tower's balconies attempting to ward off the winged assailants. The party begin their charge toward the gate and while guarded, find only a few creatures to resist them. Dark druids and their summoned creations roar in defiance as the heroes make ready to clash.

"We need to get Dark Druid D down as quickly as possibly...our efforts will just be wasted, otherwise.

I'm going to attack Rot Golem A from the front row, with Gladius - and if Karie hastens us - then Winged Fungal Flier A with my Wind Spitter's Deck, from the back row."

OoC: Dark Druid D should primarily be targeted by Lucky heroes - that special could be a pain, otherwise.

"The next to last Druid is also an important target at the moment, his ability to call for reinforcements and the fact that he'll be constantly healing his allies makes him a problem that has to be dealt with. Vindsval, you should give Lind the Bifrost Blades as soon as you have a free moment. Benji and Kiray, both of you and myself should focus on the Rot Golems for now as we're the only ones currently capable of dealing ice elemental damage. Well, Vindsval can too but I'd recommend he focuses elsewhere. Lind, you should change the target of your attack to tie down someone else's free hits if us ice wielders are going to be attacking the Rot Golems."

Having said that, Throlar attacked Rot Golem A with the Unicorn's Horn from the front row. Given a second action he would also heal Dark Druid D with the Spring Staff. He also used the Scroll of Elemental Aura (Darkness) on Dark Druid A.

(WBD, you still have a duplicate listing of the weapons Skrall lent to Kiray in Skrall's stats.)

"There's enough of you to take care of the two Rot Golems. I can cause good damage to the Hounds, so I'll try to take them out as fast as possible."

Benji attacks Spore Hounds A and B, with Hollow Meduiak, from the back row.

Sound strategy Throlar. The Whisperer does seem to need something with a magical edge.

Vindsval Removes the Bifrost Blades from his hip and gives them to Lind Whisperer from the Back Row.

"Couple of points: Bifrost Blades are ice, so I could be helping on the Golems; also, the main animals that aren't being targeted are the flying fungi, and those blades aren't ranged - meaning someone's going to have to target them if I don't."

The Black Knight nodded his thanks, and, accepting the Blades, he then proceeded to attack Spore Hound C from the front row, and Dark Druid B, also from the front row.

"Don't forget about the fairies..."

"Well, in that case either Skrall or Kiray should target the Fungal Flyers if we don't want to divert Benji's attention from his current targets. I'd recommend Kiray be the one to focus on them as she has the better ranged weapons at the moment, though Skrall should probably target at least one and use his great sword to strike a more grounded target given a second go. That leaves me to deal with both of these golems by myself. As these enemies ignore shields I'd recommend our fairy allies use their healing balm on myself."

Throlar changes his provisionary second action to instead attack Rot Golem B with the Unicorn's Horn.

OoC: You forgot Lind.

I should probably go before Pretzel, because of Black Knight's nasty technique of deflecting damage down the line. At 190 defense, he's best equipped to tank that, unlike Kiray in the last one. I re-checked the specials of the enemies I'm targeting, and neither will affect the party much differently if triggered at the beginning, rather than at the near end, so that souldn't be a problem.

Lind's effects need to be changed to those of the Shield of the Silent Knight, also.

You druids are a perversion of your true selves.  Allow us to remove that stain from this realm.  Now lord Mountain, let us see if I can wield this as well as you.

I think he can because of this: Multi-tool Attachment (Artificial arm, Enables user to ignore the weapon restrictions of their class excluding Shields, Handwear, Suitable for Vindsval),
