Hello everyone,

I am very pleased to present my very first 2018 Eurobricks reviewing adventure and it is always great fun to begin with my favourite theme featuring the new LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Batman Movie Series 2. First of all, this review came rather late for me and I am very glad to be able to purchase this locally to continue this Eurobricks tradition. In a blink of an eye, this journey had lasted for almost eight years. It surprised me greatly to know that I had completed 25 exhaustive LEGO pictorial reviews including this current review, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme. My greatest appreciation is  to my beloved wife, Belun for supporting and reminding of my LEGO reviewing passion and stood by my side no matter what. I hope even though this review had came rather late without any surprises. I sincerely wish this review could still interest you. I sincerely hope I am able to upkeep this tradition for as long as I am able. Without further ado, let me share this traditional coverage with all of you.

Point added:  I would like to give my sincere thanks to The LEGO Group (TLG) especially the LEGO CEE and LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team, even though there was a technical delay.

Following Eurobricks tradition for all of the past Collectable Minifigures polls once more, it started with a humble beginning of Series 1 followed by Series 2 in the year 2010 and it continue to spread like wildfire with another three strong waves of minifigures craze in the year 2011, putting Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5 in an excellent harvesting year. In the year 2012, we celebrated with Series 6, Series 7 and recent Series 8. With the year 2013, we have the Series 9, Series 10 and Series 11. In the year 2014, we seen the LEGO Movie Series, The first LEGO Simpsons Series and Series 12. In the year 2015, we had the Series 13, LEGO Simpsons Series 2 and Series 14. In the year 2016, we seen the Series 15, LEGO Disney Series 1 and Series 16.  In the year 2017, we have the LEGO Batman Movie Series, Series 17 and LEGO Ninjago Movie SeriesBeginning of year 2018, I would like to invite the Eurobricks Community to cast their votes is for this new LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 poll statistics as well.

What could possibly lurk within these mysterious sealed packets?

The LEGO Batman Movie has successfully continued with the second CMFs sequel
39744649101_1289765419_o_d.jpg

The LEGO Minifigures- Batman Movie Series 2 was scheduled for worldwide release on 1st January 2018. It came quite a pleasant surprise to see the LEGO Batman Movie, getting their own CMFs for the second sequel, as compared to the previous other two LEGO Movies. This opportunity also allow more licensed characters to appear in this avenue at an affordable price instead of seeing more LEGO Batman Movie sets releasing in 2018. In this LEGO Minifigures - Batman Movie Series 2, there are 20 minifigures altogether and among them, there are 2 assorted wacky Batman design outfits, 5 Batman's allies, 6 DC allies and 7 Batman's villains including some from DC universe. I was not prepared to see many bizarre minifigures design in this series and this is certainly the only channel to ever release such minifigures as stand-alone designs. This will also allow collectors to increase the licensed minifigures' count. Furthermore, these minifigures design will be based on flesh-looking skin tone of different variants instead of the traditional yellow minifigures. One thing, I do notice about these 20 minifigures, is actually only a large number of them are actually associated with the LEGO Batman Movie. The 6 DC allies (including Black Canary and Apache Chief) for example, was not seen in this movie, which kind of gave me a mixed vibe that this series is a half Batman Movie and DC allies CMFs combined.

I am more of a huge fan towards the regular LEGO CMFs design unlike specialised licensed minifigures like this release. It's not as if the specialised licensed minifigures are unappealing, but it's just my personal preference to it where I can have more integration with the regular minifigures. Who knows, perhaps one day, the LEGO Minifigures could expand into Marvel Comics or Star Wars license in the near future. I am impressed with the LEGO CMFs Design Team who have worked closely with the LEGO Batman Movie Design Team to come out with such large numbers of designs which are referenced from the movie and above. I am more curious on how the design team manage to reach the remarkable 20 minifigures total and the consideration for the selection factors. I am not exactly sure what's in store for the future of the LEGO Minifigures Theme as we wildly speculate. I hold extreme high regards for the LEGO CMFs Design Team and I strongly believe they will continue to surprise us in many endless possibilities in the coming future.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the naming for all 20 minifigures that I have use for this review are official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Batman Movie Series 2.

Front view comparison with Batman Movie Series 2 and together with all available LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 17, LEGO Movie, Simpsons 1 and 2, Disney Series 1, LEGO Team GB packets, DFB Series, Batman Movie Series 1 and Ninjago Movie Series
39035746624_c90bf97d60_o_d.jpg

I have placed all 26 different minifigures packets as part of my overall comparison. From the above aerial image, you can see an impressive transformation of LEGO CMFs Series over the long course of time. It is so delightful to be able to see all of the assorted designs series at one glance. The LEGO Minifigures Theme is a force not to be reckoned with and remain a very strong contender in the TLG product range since 2010. 26 different releases including regional exclusives are not easy to replicate the craze in many LEGO CMFs followers. So, have you been still following the CMFs craze since Day 1?

Take a closer look at the following images. This is the front view of the LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 packet, while this shows the back view of it. This is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. Take a closer look at the LEGO Batman Movie CMFs together side by side, with just exact one year apart.

This LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 had a new twist. It's no stranger that CMFs had actually done specially printed minifigure baseplate as they had once done for Team GB and DFB series. Those CMFs series are very exclusive to certain regions unlike global release. For the very time ever, the LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 owned their very iconic Batman looking baseplate which can be expanded to use to house your other related LEGO Batman minifigures.

To the regular readers of my LEGO CMFs review, you probably notice that this particular paragraph has been mentioned numerous times, because I personally feel this is the most effective method to acquire the highly sought after minifigures without taking any drastic measures. This is the 'same' golden rule, which has been mentioned in my previous reviews. If you are intending to collect the precious and hard-to-find minifigures, please hone your skills for the touch and feel method. It is an important skill to acquire to locate the minifigures that you want without spending too much money to randomly acquire them, especially so when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs and feel for the other parts. The sole disadvantage of this method is that much time would be wasted if the minifigures that you are looking for have been taken from the box. You might also end up with sore numb thumbs after feeling them.

As you flip to the back of the promotional poster, you will notice a set of simple instructions to guide LEGO fans who are not familiar with the fixing of fabric cloth and minifigure parts correctly. The other half is promoting the usage and integration of movie scene builder online. I believe the password is the same for all.

1) Friends are Family Harley Quinn
27966003389_3afdf2cf57_o_d.jpg

Without further ado, let's bring out the first minifigure design from the LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 and is none other than Friends are Family Harley Quinn. Harley Quinn was originally known as Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel. She is completely devoted and loyal to The Joker. Harley Quinn has appeared in 9 different variants from past official sets and this does not include the new 70921 Harley Quinn Cannonball Attack. Friends are Family are the terrific ending for the LEGO Batman Movie of good versus evil where they are seen performing the hit song - Friends are Family. The Harley Quinn is part of the Friends are Family line up and is very accurate to the movie reference. The main characters, including Batman, Robin, Batgirl and Joker can only be found in this 70922 The Joker Manor

Parts assortment

The parts assortment are slightly above average. The ballerina skirt was seen previously seen in the Ballerina and the dual roller skates with a touch of gold and silver is done in these new colours for the first time. The hairpiece is the same as Nurse Harley Quinn and what I love about this minifigure the most, is their dual facial expressions. You can view more of the glittering details from the back view and side view

2) Friends are Family Alfred
39035743484_216f9d1dfc_o_d.jpg

The next-in-line featuring Friends are Family design, is none other than Alfred the Butler. He is Batman's sole guardian, caretaker and a very important person in Batman's life after the passing of his parents.  With this minifigure, you can technically assemble the full suite of main characters for Friends are Family. The well coordinated white tuxedo glittery outfit fit well for a formal partying setting in a large group. The design is very accurate to the movie reference, where Alfred took out his solo guitar jam by rocking the stage. Alfred Pennyworth has made 7 minifigures appearances so far.

Parts assortment
39035743104_8d8387e2be_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are average. It come with the same electric red guitar from Gong and Guitar Rocker. The white bow tie is the same as before, and what I like is the glittering skirting around his waist. You can see more of the glittering details from his back view and side view

3) Clock King
39035742024_43b9f2f144_o_d.jpg

Clock King is part of the featured within the Rogue Gallery (which I am very excited about to see more of the villains appearing in 2018 CMFs and sets). This is not the original looking Clock King, but it was given a makeover to make it rather uniquely appealing even though I never understood why he need to wield two black spears. I wonder if is just a quick attempt to increase his accessory count. Clock King is originally known as William Tockman. He found out that he had a terminal illness and feared that nobody would care for his sister after his passing. He begun to steal money using his knowledge of schedules and clock-based gimmicks. He was eventually defeated by Green Arrow. During his prison tenure, Clock King found out that the diagnosis was completely wrong.

Parts assortment
39035741834_1209a7ee49_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are slightly above average. The clock varieties featuring different times are printed all over his torso and legs. That was a very amazing print on its own. Append to that point, what I like most is the usage of the actual gingerbread man headpiece for the clock illustration of front and back. The green cape and two black spears are welcoming accessories. You can view the outstanding printing details from the back view and side view

4) Professor Hugo Strange
39035739894_4a534c145a_o_d.jpg

Professor Hugo Strange is the next villain which was also featured in the Rogue Gallery. He also made a camo appearance in the LEGO Batman movie. Professor Hugo Strange was a well respected scientist until he became obsessed with the identity of Batman. He managed to discover Batman's true identity but never share with any other villains. He creates well-thought plots which revolve around genetics and mine control to take down Batman. Often enough, those experiments are rather inhumane and he will resort to all measure in order to attain his objective.

Parts assortment
39035739654_611c21fc8e_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are below average. The chemical formulas flask which contained the green and purple viral were seen in previous CMFs. The short light grey beard is included to show Hugo Strange facial feature. The prints are very bland and reflect generally in a scientist outfit. You can see the rest of the minifigure in simple detail from the back view and side view

5) Mermaid Batman
27965978499_339f2f13cd_o_d.jpg

Unlike the first series where we see a total of 5 wacky Batman costumes, this time round we are given just two new designs. The Mermaid Batman is a new design in the classic mermaid minifigure representation. The mermaid leg was first appeared in the 2009 Pirates and was used in just a few occasions, right after Pirates of the Caribbeans and CMFs Mermaid made a change to this classic looking mermaid legs. I am pleased to see this design even though I could prefer it to be a Merman than a Mermaid. The key difference could be the torso design where the two pearl shells are covering the *ahem* muscular torso. I wish it doesn't have that feature and that will certainly make it more warrior looking.

Parts assortment
39035738464_efc0c64319_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are slightly above average. The mermaid design in black is nicely done including the trident. The muscular looking mermaid torso even include Batman's utility belt. You can also view more of the minifigure from the back view and side view. You can see his real appearance upon removal of his mask

6) Swimming Pool Batman
39035737094_f71e173e4c_o_d.jpg

The last Batman wacky design is the Swimming Pool Batman and posed close similarities in terms of the natural aquatic surroundings with the Vacation Batman. From what I observed, this is definitely one of the most popular characters which is going to be a challenge finding in the wild. All thanks to the beautiful looking dolphin which had so far appeared in this minifigure and the 60153 Fun at the Beach. I am not intending to purchase the 60153 set and this CMF design had served an excellent way of getting this dolphin in my water creatures collection. Hope you have luck sourcing for this highly sought minifigure.

Parts assortment
27965998629_00d0f056bf_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are above average and the large part of it is attributed to the dolphin. The red buoy is similar to the rest which was used by the CMFs lifeguards. The fleshie muscular torso is going to be very useful to do modification. I am slightly disappointed that the minifigure head is Batman design as compared with the use of a versatile minifigure head which is seen in the Vacation Batman.  You can notice his detailed appearance from the front viewback view and side view. You can see his real appearance upon removal of his mask

7) Tropical Joker
27965997829_c1f8d2fc59_o_d.jpg

Part of the vacation line up, is something which I did not expect is the inclusion of Joker. When is the last time you seen the The Joker - Clown Prince of Crime ever take a holiday vacation, I suspect not. This design is done very nicely with the direct preference of what Joker could look like when choosing his attire for a beach holiday. The jokey rubber-duckie float which look rather toxic and dangerous looking. He is armed with a suspicious looking ice cream and innocently looking camera. You would be certainly wondering if he would like to take his mind off and enjoy his holidays with an unexpected group of companions. I am very confident this minifigure is equally hard to find in the wild.

Parts assortment
27965997499_e3c0ae69c8_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are above average. The camera and ice cream are some nice minifigures' accessories but what really distinguish is the green looking rubber-duckie float. The Joker also come with dual facial expressions and you need to be more attentive in order to notice the subtle smiles.  The overall printing design is excellent especially on the arms where the playing cards' symbols are reflected differently at both ends. You can take a closer look at his details from the back view and side view.

8) Vacation Robin
38846541685_0d4b144fb7_o_d.jpg

Dick Grayson also known as Robin is ready for his holiday vacation as well. Probably because the studios felt they worked too hard and sent the main cast for a beach vacation. Robin is accompanied with his trusty cassette stereo player and the lovely vanilla ice cream.  Robin with his magnified spectacles, is also quite a popular looking minifigure with his iconic red and green outfit. Those are some nice attires which can be easily used on other flesh minifigures.

Parts assortment
27965996249_38ceed6937_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment for Vacation Robin is  average. The minifigure's head with the 'wow' looking expression is something which I am fond of. The red shirt with duckie patterns is also one of my favourite design point. The ice cream and the stereo cassette player were seen previously. Dick Grayson had made three other appearances.  You can take a moment and examine the details from the back view and side view

9) Vacation Batgirl
27965977899_322d077ec8_o_d.jpg

We are also pleased to see Batgirl in her vacation outfit. The identity of Batgirl is established to be Barbara Gordon, niece of Commissioner Gordon. Batgirl is don with her surf outfit and is very fond of surfing. I am certain she is ready to take on the waves with her personalised Batgirl surfboard. She had made eight appearances in LEGO sets and CMFs.

Parts assortment
27965994669_d9800044bf_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment for Vacation Batgirl is slightly above average. The bright yellow surfboard with the Batgirl logo is a nice touch. It also include the utility belt.  The minifigure print for the head is sharp looking and what intrigue me, is the use of the hairpiece. It came as a surprise as two separate minifigure's elements. You can take a moment and examine the details from the back view and side view

10) Vacation Alfred
27965977169_91c221d547_o_d.jpg

Last but not least for the Vacation line-up, we are welcoming Alfred the Butler in this compilation. Alfred takes it slow and easy. He enjoy his glass of martini and sit at the sandy beach basking at the sun. I am not sure why Alfred choose this design because it does make me feel like a prisoner uniform. This is quite a below average design, but probably will entice fans to get this minifigure to complete the Batman vacation line up.

Parts assortment
27965994039_3f3b9a9eba_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are below average. There are nill new accessories. The accessories count include the transparent glass, cherry and white bow ties. I am not overly impressed with this minifigure design. You can see more of the details from the back view and side view. What do you think of this?

11) Soccer Mom Batgirl
38846540365_66aca72afa_o_d.jpg

As much as I want to think Soccer Mom Batgirl is Batgirl or Barbara Gordon. I could tend to think she is really a generic looking Batman fan club member. I had a moment and wonder if she could be an alternate version of Catwoman, largely due to the black pointy hood. This is a very nice design and I could think is going to be challenging to find this in the wild. I wonder if she could be a merchant selling Batman's merchandise? I got no idea of her origin but she sure is an interesting design which I had not seen it in the movie.

Parts assortment
25872991198_ac8f2cff3e_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are above average. Love the printed dollar bills or some sort coated with Batman symbol which may end up as a Batman souvenir. It also include an utility belt and a nice looking black fabric cape. The dual facial expression is one of the nicest feature in this minifigure and not withholding the fact that the side prints on both ends are different. Not to forget, the hood which kind of representing a 'cat', is also an unique new piece which had seen for the first time. Pretty nice touch which I am tempted to put it on Catwoman. You can see more of the details from the side view (1) and side view (2)

12) Killer Moth
38846538835_6710a6ecc9_o_d.jpg

Killer Moth is also featured in the Rogues Gallery and appeared in the movie as well. Killer Moth is also known as Drury Walker and a common criminal. He was inspired by Batman to become the Dark Knight of villains. Escaping from his cell, he donned a moth-motif and would rescue and assist villains for a fee. Killer Moth had so far appeared in this series and the 76054 Batman and Scarecrow Harvest of Fear

Parts assortment
25872989358_901cbf4dab_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are average. I am very fond that Killer Moth is given this unique space blaster which was first wield by Retro Spaceman. The design is pretty nicely done with its original bright colours. You probably won't have any difficulties to spot him in the dark. You can see the details from the back view and side view. You can also see the back printing after removing the wings.

13) Wonder Twin - Jayna
25872988518_02c782d270_o_d.jpg

The Wonder Twins (Zan and Jayna) are a pair of extraterrestrial twin brother and sister superhero duo. They first appeared in Hanna-Barbera's American animated television series - The All-New Super Friends. They were subsequently  introduced into the main DC Comics Universe. The pair appeared briefly in the LEGO Batman Movie during the Justice League anniversary. In this case, Jayna can transform into any animal, whether real, mythological, indigenous to Earth or to some other planet, like Beast Boy. Since she must vocalize her choice of form to assume, she must know the common name otherwise it will end as a failure. The accompanying accessories are probably for the Justice League anniversary party and I am guessing she could be the DJ for the night.

Parts assortment
25872988238_0dd4f61104_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment for Jayna is above average. I love the purple unify outfit with its purple upper collar cape as well as those awesome printed recording labels. Those are just pure retro and a delightful moment for music fans.  You can see more of the nice details from the back view and side view. Do note that the print may look similar with Zan but if you look at it carefully, these prints are different.

39713228552_017d24b13f_o_d.jpg

Like her twin sister, Jayna. Zan is the other twin brother and is part of The Wonder Twins who had appeared briefly in the LEGO Batman movie as well. In this case, Zan can transform and manipulate into water at any matter state (solid, liquid, gas) and add to his mass by incorporating water in his immediate area. In the case of becoming solid ice, he can also become any form he chooses, from a 5,000 foot humanoid ice giant to a cage for a criminal to complex machinery.

Parts assortment
25872987168_f1de132b6e_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment for Zan is average. The purple unify outfit with its upper purple collar cape are nicely done to unify them as twins but yet it encompass subtle differences between the gender. The 1x1 printed round stud in the bucket is actually Zan itself transforming into a liquid state which I think will be an useful part to decorate MOCs. IN case you are wondering, the stud just rest nicely on top of the bucket. It does not actually fix onto the bucket. You can see more of the nice details from the back view and side view

15) Apache Chief
25872986448_60a4062ff6_o_d.jpg

Apache Chief is a native american superhero and appeared in Super Friends cartoon as well as DC Comics universe. By speaking the words "inuk chuk" (which means "Big Man"), Apache Chief could grow to unlimited sizes. In some cases, he can grows to many times the size of the Earth, making himself able to battle the Colossus, a titanic space creature that plucked Earth from its orbit. He also briefly appeared in the movie as a camo in the Justice League party. This is quite a nice design to have for your tribal settings.

Parts assortment
39713227912_c7a8c33daf_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are average. The outstanding element could be the printed tile where "inuk chuk" is featured with 3 probable outcomes, given the last to be sabotage by a monkey. I suspect this could be a written records or some form of documentation.  You can see more of the details from the back view and side view. Upon removing the hairpiece, you can look at the back printing clearly.

16) Jor-El
27965984189_5eb6e6609b_o_d.jpg

I am very surprised to see Superman's distant characters being featured in a Batman-centric movie. Jor-El is Superman's biological father, the husband of Lara-El, and a leading scientist on the planet Krypton before its destruction. He foresaw the planet's fate but was unable to convince others to save the inhabitants. Jor-El was able to save his infant son Kal-El (Superman) by sending him in a homemade spaceship towards Earth just moments before Krypton exploded. I could reckon this outfit could be something similar that he worn on Krypton. I am not exactly sure what is the reference design for this minifigure but is quite a nice galaxy character to have.

Parts assortment
39713227402_62f5a493be_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are slightly above average. The accessories are very good especially the nice white 'S' circular printed tile. The crystal and space armour are great minifigure accessories. I think this is a nice minifigure design and without the attached armour, you can see Jor-El in his white long robe. You can see more of the details from the back view (no back printing) and side view

17) General Zod
27965982679_d3c85d75b9_o_d.jpg

When you have Jor-El earlier, General Zod had also appeared on Earth as well in his causal black outfit. General Zod is a former Kryptonian military general and an enemy to Superman. Exiled to the Phantom Zone by his people for treason, he survived the destruction of Krypton and swore revenge against the son of Jor-El. I am sure this minifigure design is in reference to his Earth invasion but as this is a Batman universe, I wonder what he got to do with Gotham City. Perhaps a hostile takeover eventually like Batman versus Superman where he became an abomination.

Parts assortment
27965982399_56867c1563_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment for General Zod are average. The printed newspaper tile is nicely done. The best thing about this minifigure is the dual facial expressions where General Zod unleash his laser eyes. You can see more of the nice printing details from the back view and side view

18) Doctor Phosphorus
27966007289_0b047c0737_o_d.jpg

Doctor Phosphorous is also part of the rogue gallery and the last of Batman's enemy in this series. His real name was Doctor Alexander James Sartorius. He is soaked in radiation due to a crack in a reactor core  which caused him to get "five million slivers of (radioactive) red-hot sand" into his body. Nuclear reactions caused the silicon in the sand to be booted up by one proton each, to phosphorus. Burning forever, he starts a quest for revenge against the people he blames for his terrible fate. One could not imagine the suffering and pain when it was first inflicted by accident.

Parts assortment
39035750794_3df6d4f38a_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are average and accompanied by flame accessory. I was secretly hoping that Doctor Phosphorous could be glow-in-the-dark. However, the design of this minifigure is more towards bright neon green. You can take a moment to examine the fine details from the back view and side view

19) Black Canary
27965981209_d7ac99c9ae_o_d.jpg

The next Batman ally in DC Comics universe is none other than Black Canary. This is my favourite character in this series and is largely due to her classic feminine light blue attire. Her real name was Dinah Laurel Lance and she fight crimes by using her ultrasonic scream. She wields the noise with precision to crumble objects and incapacitate foes. A devoted student of martial arts and other methods of hand-to-hand combat. A powerful female heroine not to be messed with.

Parts assortment
24875476677_13085df0ba_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are average which largely made up of the microphone and the microphone's stand. The stand is a simple built to allow performers to do their musical concert as well. What I love about this design the most, is actually the screaming expression which is part of her alternate appearance.  You can see more of her printed details from the back view and side view. Upon removing her hairpiece, you are able to examine the back printing clearly.

20) Black Vulcan
27965980849_9754f03385_o_d.jpg

The last DC comics ally which aid Batman is Black Vulcan. He is a mysterious superhero who we do not know its origin. He holds the ability to control lightning. He can also travel at the speed of light and beyond, allowing him to break the time barrier, and travel through time. He is also part of the Super Friends series as well.

Parts assortment
39744649321_049bb992fb_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment are average and point to note that it include a pair of newly designed lightning blasts. The overall built is similar to the Flash but please don't confuse with both of these characters as they are not the same kind or hold the same abilities. You can see more of the details from the back view and side view.

General Statistics for 71020 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Batman Movie Series 2
27966005269_6d3eca6cfd_o_d.jpg

Below is the combination which I have received from my box,

3 Friends are Family Harley Quinn(s)
3 Friends are Family Alfred(s)
3 Clock King(s)
3 Professor Hugo Strange(s)
3 Mermaid Batman(s)
3 Swimming Pool Batman(s)
3 Tropical Joker(s)
3 Vacation Robin(s)
3 Vacation Batgirl(s)
3 Vacation Alfred(s)
3 Soccer Mom Batgirl(s)
3 Killer Moth(s)
3 Wonder Twin - Jayna(s)
3 Wonder Twin - Zan(s)
3 Apache Chief(s)
3 Jor-El(s)
3 General Zod(s)
3 Doctor Phosphorus(s)
3 Black Canary(s)
3 Black Vulcan(s)

Based on the above distribution, I have managed to achieve three full complete sets of 20 one-of-a kind minifigures each. This is the third time in LEGO CMFs history, where three full complete sets and nil spares can be achieved. This will make lots of collectors very happy, by simply buying a mint box and shared among your friends and families. There is nothing much to analysis since all of the minifigures are equally distributed. I wonder which minifigure will be the most popular and hard-to-find for you guys.  It's very hard to predict which one will be popular, but my best guess is Swimming Pool Batman, Mermaid Batman, Tropical Joker, Soccer Mom Batgirl and Black Canary. These mentioned minifigures are in my guess-list of hard to find in the wild. What about your listing? I had also arranged the distribution photo differently and reflect my top 3 favourite minifigure in this new series.

The LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 will be launching on the 1st January 2018 (worldwide)
39035747974_a274df2a25_o_d.jpg

To conclude, the LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 has once again done a great job to continue leverage and dazzle on the movie last year. This is a specialised LEGO minifigure theme which is targeted and designed for the movie and included new characters and designs which is out of the movie but related to the LEGO DC Comics universe such as Black Canary, Apache Chief, etc. I am having mixed feelings with this batch of release, largely because I think is due to repetitive characters in just mere different outfits. The biggest push factor for me to acquire is more of the association of DC Comics license characters and the love of Batman. The whole series stand out pretty well as a group, but as an individual designed character, it might be less appealing despite of 20 minifigures designs. That's just my afterthought when I finished dabble with it. I had intentionally stayed out to view available images online to keep my mind fresh and relevant on my own personal thoughts. I am excited for the series but some of the designs did not really stand out to me and glad that was just small factor of it.

Now with a total of 399 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 17, the LEGO Movie Series, LEGO Simpsons Series 1 to 2, Disney LEGO Minifigures, LEGO Batman Movie series, LEGO Ninjago Movie Series and the current LEGO Batman Movie Series 2, not including Mr. Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings or lucky stars to own it till this date, and the special exclusive Toy Soldier and Zombie Skateboarder minifigures that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encyclopedia books respectively. At such accelerated releasing rate, I wonder if anyone can keep up with the display shelving area as we factor to accommodate space for future expansion. For myself, I have already done some display for my own CMFs and made provision for at least 3 series to be displayed side by side at the baseplate. I hope to share my display set up when things are more or less ready at my new home. Meanwhile, I really wonder what exciting new series will TLG have for us. Only time will tell and let's be patient about it. I am confident that it will be worth the wait as always.

Please note that all opinions and content shown in this Eurobricks pictorial review is from 'WhiteFang' and is not meant to represent LEGO official views. It is purely stated to share as a vantage point of a reviewer.

Please note that the The LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 do not contain the placement of LEGO spare parts/accessories. This was practiced since the start of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3.

Summary review
Playability: 8/10 (New Batman villains, allies and greater varities can be integrated across past and present LEGO Batman theme.)
Design: 8/10 (Very detailed design and some good all-rounded printing and dual facial expressions with decent amount of new accessories for the 20 minifigures.)
Price: 6/10 (Although the price now stablise at SGD$6.50, but it is still quite expensive to maintain the CMFs collection especially if you intend to buy multiples.)
Overall: 7.6/10 (Ready yourself for this brand new licensed minifigures theme and do collect them all, especially if you are a LEGO Batman DC Comics fan.)

I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours?

I hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are welcomed.

Dear Eurobricks Community,

I am very pleased to share with all of you my latest review work on the LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 CMFs. This is my first review installed and there were many glitches here and there, which I will not elaborate. Nonetheless, I am glad I had sorted this review myself and bring this review to a reality after 18 days of its official release. I hope this review is of interest to our community and please do leave your thoughts for sharing in this review. This is quite a lengthy process for me to finish since last Sunday.

Thank you and enjoy the review.

The ballerina skirt and the dual roller skates with a touch of gold and silver is done in these new colours for the first time.

The ballerina skirt in white is not new, it came in white in the original ballerina and also in Assembly Square.

There are also these statements left in from previous reviews:

Thanks and I amended my review/sentence. I aware the ballerina skirt is not new piece, but I had actually meant the roller skates in new colours. I didn't realise the sentences were connected. Thanks for pointing out the other two and I had also cleaned it up.

A most excruciatingly thorough review, and an excellent job as always! :classic:

As with every series, I always find that every CMF has something useful to offer for repurposing, even if I don't care for a particular figure. As for this series, Jor-El and Zod are the only characters I care about as a whole, while Killer Moth is on my radar exclusively for that Pearl Gold retro raygun of his. Because of that, I really appreciate that picture you took of him paired with the S17 Retro Space Hero.

Speaking of that, I'm not sure if you are taking requests, but perhaps could you take a picture of the S17 Retro Space Hero directly holding Killer Moth's gold raygun? Also, do you have a minifigure of Zod from 2013's Man of Steel sets? I was wondering how that minifigure's head would look on this CMS's Zod figure.

As always, fantastic and very helpful review of the latest CMF. Not a huge Lego Batman fan but they are wonderfully and attractively designed figures; Black Canary and Harley Quinn are especially great. Always love your photography and reviews of the CMF, most excellent work!

Agree. There are some odd choices here.

My fav has to be the Swimming Pool Batman, because of the dolphin

A second close would be Dr Phosphorus, because it looks useful for Halloween MOCs

I'm glad a regular series is next

Not too many from this series that interest me (which is good for my wallet :)

I want 1x Clock King (cool character), 1x Hugo Strange (I collect lab coats so this one is a must), 1x Vacation Joker (love the torso and the inflatable), 1x Wonder Twin Jayna (for the record and record cover), 1x Wonder Twin Zan (neat bucket with a new color handle, 1 x 1 round piece in the bucket and also I gotta get the pair :) and 1x Black Vulcan (lightning bolts would work for all sorts of things and the torso and headgear is neat too)

Kinda interested in General Zod for the newspaper but I am on the fence about that one.

Good review and pics, as always! I did notice, though, that you said some of these characters weren't in the movie, like Black Canary and Apache Chief. They were all in there; those heroes were in the Fortress of Solitude partying.

I have taken two photos based on your request. I didn't have those minifigures and I realised I had an old 76009 set back in 2013. That will serve its purpose and hope the new images will be ideal for you. Yes, I do take requests if is reasonably within my means.

From what I've heard rumored, S18 will at least have four CMFs that aren't costumed characters, which sound pretty cool from what has been described. But other than that, the rest being costumed characters is kind of a bummer, as not only do I not care for those type of CMFs, but they feel pointless to me. :def_shrug:

This series really likes its Super Friends references lol. By the way, Vacation Joker's clothes are a direct reference to what he wears in The Killing Joke comic:

When I first saw Clock King and his spears, I also wonder why he uses them. I do not know why, but when I was reading your review and after watching the pictures, I got it!!!

THE SPEARS OF CLOCK KING REPRESENT THE HANDS OF THE CLOCK!!! THE MINUTE AND THE HOUR HAND!!

That is the reason for the spears. He will not use them as weapon, just to symoblize time!!!

For the rest of the review, great as usual!! I was looking forward to reading it.
