Keeping quiet and mostly to himself, eventually Germ noticed the "Wanted Wolf Leader". Thinking "This is the guy giving the Hall so much trouble? He doesn't seem that impressive to me."

Taking a step or two, to the side most giving the "flamboyant wizard" some space. A thought comes over Germ "What is this guys deal?"

When everyone else is busy in their hubbub of communication, I turn to Euflear.

"If it is not too presumptuous of me, I must ask you how much you know of what this pixie dust may do when it comes to situations like these. I fear that you may know no more than I do, but I suppose there is not harm in asking. I am just wondering if these "founders" have more or less retained their personalities in their new, revived form or are they completely demon-controlled freaks? I really am curious as, to be honest, some of their actions I would believe your fellows would have taken as well, but...what do you think...or know?"

Benji looks at the Wolf disdainfully, no longer bearing much respect for the leader of the wolfgan after the many years, but still curious to see him.

"So Ulric, any clue whats happening to this city? Everything's gone wacko it seems. How should we take care of this mess yathink?"

"That might be difficult young gnome, considering the fort is in the middle of the bay."

"I miss my companions everyday. Each one of them I watched perish in their own time. I tried to comfort them each in their passing. As I told you in the Faerie, the dust is our life essence, by it we live and breath, it moulds us, shapes us, conforms to us. When I was held captive by Rosier, I dreamed of my friends, now that I am among you my heart so wishes to see them again. Indeed from your descriptors it sounds just like them, but... I know that it can't be. I'm afraid I do not know what to make about these impostors, but that they would dishonor the memory of my dear companions, I would tear the hearts out of each and every one of them."

"Mr. Carvenhall, it's been sometime since you stopped by the Wolf Den, not looking too worse for wear it seems. The city is actually about as peaceful as its ever been. Granted the Founders have most of the citizenry in their palm along with the Paladin forces and Town Watch, so no real surprise there. Doesn't take much to pull the wool over their eyes. But I ain't much one for watching all of my hard work go for naught. I take it you've all compared notes?"

They certainly seem to believe they are real. It appears as if they retain the same memories, up to a point. We should have asked the Golden Dragon about that! Something only she would have remembered.

Wait, you dreamed of them in Rosier's captivity?

That's it. That has to be, right? Rosier engineered them from your dreams somehow? We've met people who can manipulate dream-scapes, right? That's within the realm of possibility.

And don't worry about fighting them. That is most certainly on the table. I intend on showing this fake Miracleworker what a true Duplovian looks like.

"Yes, that's more-or-less what came to my mind. Boomingham said his party spoke to Rosier and she referred to these imposters as 'dreamers'. However I don't think they're necessarily working together. Fary dust responds to the desires and commands of the fairies, so it's entirely possible that they arose spontaneously from Euflear's dreams and are acting on their own initiative."

"Ah, you're all back, and it looks like you brought company." Ulric kisses the hands of Euflear, Semiramis, and Elphaba. "Welcome to my little corner of the world, ain't the prettiest, but we make do."

The Black Knight frowned, but did not respond. He was less than pleased with the alliance, to say the least, but for the moment, it seemed a necessity.

For the moment.

Hoke was certain that flying over the city patrolled by an ancient gold dragon and a dozen other wyverns in broad daylight may not be the wisest of plans. Sticking to the streets could also prove perilous and have him cutoff from any of his allies.

Unfortunately Hoke realizes the situation they are in, and promises himself he will check on the Lotus after all of this is done.

"I think that hypothesis falls under "best chance scenario." And from too long working under Heroica, I've found that it's almost never the best case scenario. Hopefully you're right, though, and this is the suggestion."

He shook his head.

"Tell it on the way. Tell all of it on the way. We don't have time for it now, not again.

Everything important seems to center around what's at Fort Bonaparte. That's the really important news to know, unless the...Wolfking, here, has some new information for us."

"Hoke, that dragon of yours is one heck of a fine creature...I know she's Fire-elemental, but do you think there's any chance she could survive underwater for a few minutes? If she could slip under the Harbor's surface with a few of us on her back - and a mage holding Air bubbles around us - we might have a chance at surprising the Fort Bonaparters by attacking them from two fronts."

No, Lind, you're telling it now. People have been saying 'oh well tell it later' since I got in those sewers. If we're expecting an arch demon manipulating forces at that Fort, then I want the details.

Hoke narrows his eyes, looks at Lind, then at Torc then back to Lind and shrugs.

"She's been over the water plenty of times, but not under. But you never know."

Torc cast what seemed like a perturbed look at the Dragoon but also seemed to shrug her shoulders as well.

Karie nods towards Dyric. "You all have a right to know what's happened with my group. If we're going to piece together what our enemy is, we should all know what each group went up against. Knowing what we're up against will help us all in the long run." Karie looks to Lind in particular, although her statement was directed at the entire group. She was not angry with the knight, merely hoping to bestow a lesson onto him. "I don't think I've gotten the full story from the group that went to the Dragon House, but I'll tell you all what happened to my group. Don't worry, Throlar, I'll handle this."

We went on to meet up with Ulric and ran into Skrall. Skrall escorted us into the Wolf's Lair and together we hashed out a deal: Ulric is not to be harmed, and in return, he helps us take back the hall and take back the city. I should remind you all, that anyone who lays a hand on Ulric answers to me." Karie clarifies, addressing the other heroes and allies amongst them. She motions to Ulric to further emphasis her point. "I know some of you have issues to take up with Ulric Wolfkin. Honestly, I don't care right now. We can deal with the politics after this is all done: as of this moment on, if I catch a whiff of any of you trying to make a move on Ulric, I'll personally cut you down."

"Ulric has informed my group that Byblos has attempted to make contact with us through the use of a sending stone." Karie presents the sending stone to the group, placing it on a nearby table. "Here's the translation, since it's written in Metasimian:

Blinding light now over-run
A dark seed planted below the sun
Where once was joy and never glum
The flower grows, take care They come

-Byblos

We didn't know what this meant at the time, but we now know that the poem refers to the Faerie, the Rosier, and the Dark Druids. I'll explain this in a bit more detail in a moment."

"From there our group moved onto the Eubric Herald. The head of the paper, Rook... well, he refused to assist us after what happened at the Lady Luck the previous night. He's bought into the Founder's lies, and I doubt he'll be any help to us until we show to the public that the Founder's aren't real. We did managed to get the address of the Frustrated Filly, and moved to the Winking Gargoyle. Turns out Äsa, the Valkyrie, was the one writing the articles in our favour. She informed us that the Founders were pulling the strings and coordinating all this for the past few months, including the downfall of the houses in the city: the Count's arrest, the seizing of the Hinckwell fortune, the scandals surrounding the Guild of Invision, all of it. They did this so they could proudly march into the city and look like saviours here to rescue the city from the chaos. She also informed us that Cain knew about what was going on in the Faerie, and that there was a conflict happening there. It wouldn't surprise me if the Founders killed Cain in order to keep what was happening in the Faerie a secret. She advised us to head to the Faerie, and we came to the collective agreement to ask the Tri-Tech Company for help getting there."

"When we arrived at the Tri-Tech Company, we were informed that the Founders had issued them to hand over their automatons. We had a run in with the Wandering Mountain, and although we did not defeat him, we held him off long enough to make our way into the Faerie and keep the automatons out of the hands of the Founders."

"The Faerie... I had never been to the Faerie before, but it's been turned into a wasteland. Fairy Dust rains from the sky like ash, and the land is dark and grey. We ran into some fairies there, along with Benji, and together we assaulted a tower. It seems as if the Rosier and the Dark Druids had managed to overrun the plane, and they have been sucking the place dry of it's fairy dust. Inside the tower we rescued the Fae One and we moved to the top of the tower to chase someone escaping. We managed to open a portal back to the city sewers and were intending to follow this person until we ran into the crew that went to investigate the Temple of Fabula Sybilla, only to then run into Dyric, Matthias, and Bellanote, and followed them here."
Karie nodded her head, hoping the story was sufficient, but knowing there'd be questions. If she'd forgotten anything, she hoped her group would fill in for her.

"You rang?" Arthur says from the doorway, leaning against it with a tired-looking smile.  Though the Skirmisher looks oddly naked without his signature Shadeaux-emblemed cape, he is all business as he turns to Ulric, the Veterans, and the Lions.  "Ziegfried Manor is evacuated," he informs the leaders.  "One too many patrols came by after we put out the fires, and Mable got nervous.  A couple of the others were making noises about joining us for the fight, but no guarantees; I know Mom forbade Noel from fighting on the front lines, and she herself had to be the one getting the others out safely.  I'm not sure if Mable managed to convince Marco and Chesterine to leave or if they put their feet down and decided to stay; we should know soon enough if they're coming.  Don't worry about the shrouds, though, we've made arrangements to keep them going even with the house empty."

The Skirmisher nods along as Karie summarizes her party's actions, frown slowly increasing as the story goes on.  "Rosier...that's...concerning."  He pauses.  "There were three copies of the Pandemonicon in the world, not counting the partial one in my head.  Byblos took two with him.  Anyone get any inkling of the third?  I'd bet Diamonds to Zirconia it's why Rosier is loose in the first place, and if we get our hands on it there's a shot we can seal them away with it if they show up while we're storming Fort Freedom."

Arthur, Dyric says, a genuine smile on his lips. This, finally, was the brother he had so long-ago lost.

Good to hear the Ziegfried are safe. As much as I would like them on the field, I can't blame them for not wanting the same. After all, what would Matthias do if Chesterine got hurt?

The assassin allows a small laugh before moving on.

That's why I meant something she, personally, would only remember. We asked about generic Founder identifiers but nothing we could put against the false Yulianna specifically.

I believe I mentioned the main details in the sewer, but I can also go into more depth. I'd be interested in hearing what happened with Atramor's group after we separated, but we weren't gone very long.

Still, this is all very troubling. I still don't entirely get, though, why this Rosier would come for us. I would think her content with the Faerie, but Byblos sounds insistent that they are coming. These Founders certainly appear directed by her, but Throlor, you said she didn't really care about them? What is anyone after, then? Why hit Eubric?

Atramor grinned as the parties assembled, faces long forgotten appearing more than once in the crowd. He gave Skrall and Benji a brief clap on the shoulder in familiarity, nodding at Arthur as he made his way to Karie.

"Hell of a tale."

"After we broke off, we went to the Dragon House to find the Shadeaux kids takin' refuge. They told us their old man was locked up in Fort Freedom, and sent Bellanotte with us to assist in our effort. She's been a hell of a help. The Golden Dragon's body was there, but we needed to have a word with her, so we went to hit up Ziegfried Manor. The enemy's got a lotta dragons on their side, had to fight off a whole horde of 'em. Luckily, thanks to Arthur, we managed to recruit Chesterine to help us speak to the Dragon, but when we got back to her house the Shadeaux were gone and we came face-to-face with the Doomsayer himself."

"Now, mates, I'll be the first to admit we're in a bad way here, but damn if we don't got some good news," he added, with a fierce nod, as he dumped the elegant Dwarven Cloak onto the ground, bits of faire dust still clinging to it. "The Doomsayer ain't a problem anymore. He turned into this dust after we killed him and his guards. Golden Dragon didn't have much for us in the way of direction, but did tell us the key was to figure out our enemy's goals. Which...well, I hope ya'll came up with somethin'."

"We had a friend at the Guild identify the dut as fairie dust, which lines up with what you've been tellin' us about the Fairie. Sounds like Rosier and these dark druids are behind impersonatin' the Founders. But...I feel like that ain't all there is to it. I've fought more'n my fair share of archdemons, none of 'em are on the level enough to orchestrate somethin' of this scale all on their lonesome. Either way...Arthur left us a tip on where to find some allies, so we went to the Embassy to free the Lion Knights from their Town Watch captors. It went damn well, we cut a path straight through the Paladins and Town Watch to get here, but...well, it seems like Dyric might've spotted the Miracleworker, which make sense because every single one of 'em got brought back from death."

"We made it to the Hovels, sent out Dyric and Matthias to grab onna the parties while we hit up the other, but it seems like ya'll had the same general idea."

"Whenever someone's ready to speak up 'bout the Oracle party, I'm ready to listen."

Atramor's jaw dropped before it clenched in the course of suppressing some...hostile emotions.

"Where the hell did you get that?"

Karie nodded her head, hoping the story was sufficient, but knowing there'd be questions. If she'd forgotten anything, she hoped her group would fill in for her.

Throlar looked up suddenly, as if he had just remembered something.

"Pereville, the fairy we found at the top of the tower, he said that Rosier's servants knew where the fairies that escaped her had fled to, I think I heard something about it being Eubric."

"Arthur," said Throlar, "good of you to come."

"Well, as much as I'd like that, as I'd said to Karie it's probably not going to be that sim..."

"... Ahh!" said Throlar jumping into the air in a rather comical fashion, briefly grasping for a holy symbol before he realized he wasn't wearing one and settled for raising his shield between them instead. After a moment he calmed down and lowered the shield saying;

"The universe is just determined to prove me wrong, isn't it? I suppose that might be a good thing in this particular instance, but still."

"Don't know, that's what Boomingham told me, so that's what I'm telling you."

"I won't touch it, Master," Arthur affirms.  It takes him a moment to register what he's said, and the Skirmisher swears upon realization.  "...Right.  Okay, guess we're getting this out of the way now."  Arthur shifts his arm into a distinctly Oculoid-like tentacle before it forms into a wicked-looking halberd, which he tosses up in the air and then catches with a now-normal hand. "Technically part-demon.  As with many of my problems, a relic of past idiocy.  Pro tip, a Zoot's Plaything is not meant to be used internally."  He winces in recollection, then shakes his head.  "Thankfully, the book's on our team, if it can have that kind of effect on me.  Hopefully if Rosier does something to me, that book can reverse it.  If I ever seem lost or distant, it'll be up to Master (OOC: Torald) to give me orders."

"Karie.  It's been too long.  How's Rachelle and Masson?  Did Dyric deliver my message?"

Karie turned to see Arthur, standing before her. He looked weary, but it seemed as if little had changed with him. She approached Arthur and gave him a warm hug.

"I"m glad to see you're alright, Arthur. It's good to see you again. I missed you." Karie says, sounding relieved and tired. She lets go of him after a few moments of taking in his presence, not entirely sure what to say. "Dyric did tell me you were coming, but if I was being honest with myself, I haven't seen you for so long I thought I might've misheard him.

Masson and Rachelle are fine, as far as I know. Masson's smart enough that if he felt he was threatened, he'd know where to go into hiding." Karie replied. She didn't know what her husband and daughter were up to, but she believed that the two of them were safe. She had to. There was too much going on around her to let that worry her as well.

Atramor grinned as the parties assembled, faces long forgotten appearing more than once in the crowd. He gave Skrall and Benji a brief clap on the shoulder in familiarity, nodding at Arthur as he made his way to Karie.

"Hell of a tale."

"Hmm. Well I'm at least happy to hear that we have further confirmation that these are definitely not the Founders. If the Golden Dragon is buried in her crypt, than clearly the ones we're dealing with are imposters. Still, as close as we are to finding out why this is happening, we don't have a clear answer yet."

Karie was about ready to reply to Throlar until exasperations of surprise and emotions swirled around the group. She looked between Throlar, Atramor, and Arthur as she looked to the book and back at the others.

"Am I missing something here? What's the significance about this book?" Karie wasn't sure what the fuss was about the book, but clearly it was important.

Seeing everyone rather interested in the Book and Arthur acting quite strange, Torald decides it's better, for now, to put the Book away again. I am also not quite sure of the significance of this book, but I am aware that it has some powers of it's own. Anyway, if people who know more about this want to guide me into using this Book properly, I'd most likely oblige.

Seeing that Torald puts away the book Ezeran steps in to help hide it. "Probably wise to keep that away right now..." he whispers to Torald.

"That book, if what he's saying is true, is a legendary tome of demonology. From what stories I've heard it may be one of the most powerful magic texts in existence."
