That's really good! Although hoping those who are at the bottom of the naughty list get edible coal. If I was naughty, I would probably find a wood log in my stocking. Our fireplace is wood burning.

Ah, it is not often that you see an SD70 out on the 12v branch, especially all the way out in the blue era. All great pieces (please post a link with more photos of the trains), and a nice, brick efficient tunnel. And of course, all combined together it is more than the sum of the fantastic parts.

Nice build.  I guess we have been naughty and should be building more steam engine MOCs?

All, this setup is a Frankenstein creation since I acquired a huge assortment of old blue 12v stuff earlier this year at a trunk sale. I got a pair of transformers, a few motors (and one 4.5v with 2 battery packs), a 90 degree cross, a pair of switches, and enough track to build a long setup. I started in LEGO trains after the 9v era, so I have only known Power Functions. I wanted my Christmas train to run without chewing through batteries, so I converted it to a 4-4-0 setup with the 12v motor in a longer tender.

Besides my winter setup, I have been working on some rolling stock for my SD70ACe. I've built a pair of coal hoppers, a covered grain hopper, a oil car, and a "seat" gondola (not pictured). I am now working on a US style autorack. All this is in addition to my 5 TTX well cars. With the pair of L motors, it can pull 8-10 MOC cars with little problem. It's slow, but a hauler.
