[MOC] Custom RC tracked racer body

This is my custom body for the fun tracked RC racer set. It's based (loosely) on the 41999 Limited Edition Crawler.

 

 

I've added lights and swapped the motors to L motors. The body is attached at the same points as the regular version and flips up the same for access.

Looks good. How does the performance compare to the original set?

Faster, even though it's heavier. Only have one though so can't compare side by side. Wasn't a big job to switch out the motors but the body for the retail set wraps over the motor too tight to fit an L in. This body was intentionally designed to leave more room for the L motor.

... Discovered this whilst sat a home during lockdown because of a virus that came out of China... Not cool.
