That's all I've got for now, though I do plan to make some more (bigger/better) safes and (better) locks in the future...

cool bananas man these are great and would be very well placed in a LEGO modular setup (10246 or 10251 for example)

They are Technic inside, and they are realistically functioning - so they would be closer to Technic than any other theme...

I think they are fine here, and they look great!

Hi @mocbuild101,

thanks for sharing these safes, they are really great! Of course the little one is my favorite - this is Shrink-O-Mania developed to perfection

Suggestion for the next contest: build a safe that cannot be picked by members of staff

Regards

Leonard Goldstein

Interesting idea. Perhaps you should make one very big safe that would keep all your LEGO parts safe in one place

While that would make for a very fun contest, teleportation doesn't exist yet...

The next safe I plan to build is a big Mindstorms one - a bit like this one.

I've got too much Lego for that...

I have added the video of the second safe! :sweet:

Also, I have edited the video of the first safe, by adding music, and removing the text - because I though it was just stating the obvious...

I've had this sitting on my shelf for over a year now, so it's probably time I share it...

See main post for photos, LDD file, and more information^

I've also changed the photos of the red safe, as they were way over saturated...

Very interesting builds, especially the padlock. One nice challenge would be to make a safe that *cannot be taken apart* without the key (or combination). I've seen a very large one like that somewhere, but would be interesting to see whether it can be done on a small scale.

Hmm... That could be possible... Challenge accepted!

I knew about this topic, but never took the time to really check it out... shame on me

Very cool mechanisms, really smart engineering to build them out of Lego and at this small scale! Like jorgeopesi said, a whole new world of mechanical solutions to discover!

Thanks, finding ever smaller ways of building complex mechanisms is actually one of my favorite things to do with Lego.
