LOWLUG train layout at LEGOWorld Utrecht

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

A week ago our LUG had a big group layout displayed at LEGOWorld 2017.

The layout was a collaboration of @aawsum, @alois, Moos and me.

More pictures are available at my Flickr album.

PS. mods, is there any way this can be posted in the Train forum too? I don't want to crosspost but I think this concerns both topics equally.

Incredible and amazing work, the trains, the track, the buildings and all the scenery. The photography album is awesome as well, I like the images showing the preparation, setup and terrain construction. Fantastic building!

I also have a few photogrtaphs of our layout on my Flickr page, including a short film of the complete layout:

The town part was made by me, as was the church; the curve by Erwin; the camping ground, factory amd mountain by Moos and the shunting yard by Aawsum.

Awesome how you made the track running trough the road section like a tram track.

jammer dat ik er niet ben geweest dit jaar :P

That is an incredible layout, really complete in shape and feel. My favorite bits are the fact that the trains (appear to?) swap themselves out, the large radius curve in such a small layout, and the details on the station building (the brick arch above the top floor windows are super). Some neat trains in the background too.

Not all trains in the background are our mocs (oocs :classic:), by the way. Some are mocs that you can buy as a set in the Netherlands, and some are sets like the 4511 visible.
