GBW - Lord of War - CoST - Little Blitzer

Recommended Posts

Hidden deep on the mountains of Legon in a secret weapon laboratoy a group of scientists developed a new weapon: Little Blitzer. His Big Brother, Blitzer will be an asset for the CoST Navy some day ( Spoiler), but little Blitzer is designed for urban warfare and to attack heavily armored objects. The projectile is made from solid ultra strength steel and is accelerated by an elecrotmagnetic impulse up to 4500 mph.

The only limitation at this time are the very heavy batteries. They weigh around two tons and develop enough energy for 5 shots. And - errm - we are stillnot sure if there are any side effects by creating such enourmos magnetic impulses. So we did some precautional measures.

But here we go again: Today we will test the penetration capabilities of little Blitzer.

Ready to go! 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 3 -  -  2 - -  1 ......

The results were impressive:

Shortly after the test our newly appointed secretary of defense , Mrs. Jane Trommel visited the installation.

The chief engineer: " The results are great, but the test is only a partial success".
Trommel: "Whaddaya mean -  partial? We spent 412 Millions on this project, so partial isn't good enough!!"

"Well, " the engineer replied, "we played a little bit with the energy. And so the bullet went through two layers of masonry, two layers of reinforced concrete and finally through the safety barrier made of 15 inches of Tankarmor steel. And then it went on. I have to admit, that we didn't found it yet..."

At the same time at a very different and far, far away location:

"From which of the lost worlds does this evil thing come?"

Editors Note no. 1: The background of the last picture is a LotR Lego set. Just sayin'.

Editors Note No.2: Pictures are not that perferct - but it is because "Miautra"'s big brother started to fight with my build...

You’ve been awarded ( 3 ) points.

Judges’ comments…

Quality build here. Nice homage to the railgun coming into being. I was a bit curious how this is designed for Urban Warfare and its proper application given its size and awkwardness. Very nicely done, if anything I'd want to see you detailing along the roadways a bit.

I like the focus on the weapon and testing equipment.  That appeared to be the focus of your build, along with a creative backstory.  The presentation was clean and the addition of the LotR Elves at the end was humorous.

Thanks for playing!
