Rodiola Posted September 17, 2017 Hello everybody. I love the old Lego and I'm sure that the early Lego sets were more interesting, and also more suitable for playing with them. This is not nostalgia for a happy childhood, because I was born in the USSR, where most of the children had no idea about the existence of Lego. But now we are talking about something else. Lego is one of my frequent purchases. I buy the sets for children, I buy the parts for myself. I buy sets for myself only occasionally. Usually these are sets released before 2000, sometimes 2000-2002. I do not collect Lego and buy it in used condition to play (am I sane?). Recent purchases include 6442. 6442 is awesome, but in the void looks somewhat lonely. I wanted to build a landscape for it, which could be seriously explored for a long time. There are already a lot of different MOCs on the theme of the underwater world, and it is not easy to surprise with something new. I present MOC to you, which is built for divers researchers. But then I also built a submarine. And then I decided that the mermaids would add a bit of local color. Maybe something else will happen in the underwater kingdom someday. image by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr image by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr image by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr image by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr image by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr 302A6671 by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr 302A6670 by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr 302A6662 by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr image by Ольга Родионова, on Flickr Thank your for attantion. Tim_AZ Posted September 17, 2017 Beautifully done. At first glance I thought I was looking at 007's Lotus.
Littleworlds Posted September 17, 2017 I heartfully agree. Its a lovely scene with some really well made underwater vegetation. I had the same thought btw. about the 007-style submarine. It may not be the lotus, but it clearly wants to be.. Lovely build!
Rodiola Posted September 18, 2017 Thanks for the comments. I did not know about the existence of the car belonging to agent 007, which can transform into a submarine. In all the James Bond films that I watched, the main role was played by Sir Sean Connery, and there was nothing like that there. This is an improvisation in a hurry. The view caught on a white piece with a print of 6737, which basically determined the shape.
ZORK64 Posted September 18, 2017 That's a very nice diorama, I'd love to see more pics of it. I like the plants in particular.
