Do You happen to know how many pieces does it include?

Does it have a steel frame as the usual big LEGO sculptures, or do the Technic pieces actually do the job? In second case I am super impressed.

I don't know the part count. It might have been mentioned last year, but I don't recall.

I am pretty sure it indeed has a metal frame.

When can we expect Jim’s build & review? :sweet:

In 2027 when I am done building

This is what I had in mind for my Mindstorms Robot project

Photos are much more detailed than what i've seen before. Thanks for sharing) Looks like some weird fractal, but it's not

Indeed not real fractals, but I absolutely agree that these sub-assemblies are very similar.

Wow! Hi-res pictures rulez!! So beautiful! I wonder how many hours were spent to design and build it.

Lego factory was producing parts for it 24/7  I bet

Fun fact: at some point TLG informed if we had members who were skilled in building in multiple systems, so Duplo, System and Technic. I reckon they informed because of this project.

We relayed some names, but I never heard the outcome. Maybe @Milan can shed a light.

In one of @Jim's images there's a bit of visible studded beams. Maybe the structure is made of those?
