How plausible is it that perhaps they’ve used the wrong Minifigure in these images? And the PoA versions will indeed be whats in the final Express Set? Would be a huge shame if they’re not accurate to the scene considering the lengths Lego has gone to on accuracy

Unlikely. They do make mistakes but multiple such errors in one image is unlikely.

These sets looks excellent, much like the Great Hall there's so many good things going on here, I like Snape's Office and Classroom and the Dormitory they've included. The Quidditch set looks great too, the scoreboard and snitch are great touches.

So Lupin in the Willow was incorrect, but Lupin in this wave was not, that makes me really happy, and I’m not bothered about not getting Pettigrew because I wasn’t a massive fan of him anyway, but that look at Sirius is making me hyped to get him, I mean 2 Gary Oldman minifigures, hell yeah,

Pettigrew is in the Howarts Express set, just in the form of Scabbers.  :)

The Sirius Black poster is a good touch on the platform, is there some kind of rotating wall mechanism between the two platforms? Or have they just included both.

It's the reused legs from general hux, it does not continue snapes clothes down.

what snape should be like vs what they did make.

It looks fine to me, they have finished off the undercoat neatly so they don't need multiple colour prints on the hips and legs. I prefer the shorter version, as it means you don't have the black lines running across it where they don't print all the way to the edges and if you pose legs it still works. The removal of the white shirt edit would have been better.

Its a shame the normal version of common characters are in sets and not cmf where they would get the full treatment.  Now we end up with half finished main characters and fully finished obscure characters.

So you'd prefer either more obscure characters in the sets (bad for sales) or doubles of the common characters (in sets and CMFs)?

I wonder if they threw those figures into the photos because they knew they leaked. Maybe they didn't want people to know there are more sets. It sounds crazy but they've gotten everything right so far it's really annoying. It's like Daphne not having her pink tights in the scooby doo line that was obviously based on the old cartoons, and not the be cool scooby doo series.

Quidditch set:

  • looks great, glad that the 2 house domination is over, now it is definitely 4 houses on Lego Hogwarts
  • Really surprised to see Snape and Hermione in the set, did not see that one coming
  • What are they planning with the pinholes at the bottom of the towers *huh*

Whomping willow set:

  • Looks great, but was expecting a WW set with a castle side build not the other way around so takes some time to adjust..
  • The WW are not great, but it is a hole under it as I expected
  • Disappointing that we do not get a Mrs Norris or more owls in the set
  • The Interior of the castle looks fabulous

Hogwarts express set:

  • Also look great
  • I did not see this set coming before next wave, definitely a big flavour for film 3 *huh*
  • To bad Crookshanks or owls are not in the set

After seeing 4 sets it is obvious how Lego ad minifigs to the sets, are you important in the film scene you get a fig in the set, definitely not they way they used to do it, but the times they are a changin

GH:

  1. Harry, Hermione, Ron, Draco and Susan got sortet in the film
  2. Hagrid and McGonagall escort the kids
  3. Dumbledore holds the speech
  4. Quirrell makes Harry's scar hurt

WW:

  1. Harry and Ron drive the car
  2. They are taken by Snape and Filch
  3. Hermione is best in Potions class and Seamus probably blows it up (can't remember)

Q:

  1. Wood and Flint are the capteins
  2. Higgs and Harry duell for the snich
  3. Hermione set fire to Snape

HE:

  1. The Trolley witch are in almost every train trip
  2. The rest are in the dementor scene

Thanks :D

So only connectible parts are Willow Tree set and Grand Hall right?

Lego could have found a way to connect the hogwards express set  or the quiddich set, how amazing would that be ?

Completely unlikely. These are press images, and they were probably sent out weeks/days ago under embargo.

Whatever gets the core characters good figures.

Like nearly headless Nick could have sacrificed his leg print for Lupin or Snape.

But with the way the sets/cmf works the best figures will be the worst characters/versions.  Is annoying.

I think that’s just so you can swap which towers are connected to the pitch, unfortunately. If they ever do a quidditch grandstand though.. whoa mama!

Then he would have looked odd, as he would be missing the breeches completely.

Now that year 3 is in the sets more I wouldn't be surprised if the next wave is just all year 4. There's a lot to base sets on. Based on brickset 75950 is still a set number and I still think it's going to be Aragog set. Great Hall and Quidditch sets are based on the first movie. Whomping Willow and Aragog would be based on the second movie. The Hogwarts express is based on the third. It's very possible now that D2C is Hogsmeade. The online lego sets image showed the Knight Bus and Hogwarts Castle but it makes me wonder.

He is just grey on grey, not as jarring as the others which should be grey on tan, but lacks the grey completely.

Color blocking matters.

Looking at these sets, I think we can make some educated guesses on who will be in the Minifigure series to accompany the sets:

Madame Hooch and some other players (probably the twins and Malfoy) for the Quidditch set

maybe an accurate Harry and Ron for the train set? Sirius Black for certain, potentially a dementor

more students for the Hogwarts sets, Neville, Dean, Crab, Goyle, I expect them all in the series if they’re not in the sets or D2C

based on the Baselisk in the Great hall, maybe Ginny and Tom Riddle

and then probably the House ghosts to accompany Nick

Um, you can make Quidditch Malfoy with current pieces.

If anything the indication is cmf has hufflepuff and ravenclaw players.

Well so far year 3 is only the train, the train is in most of the movies, but this is the most famous scene so they probably made that since they where going to make the train anyway apparently. Do not mean that the next wave will not have any more sets from POA..

Not very I would say

There was a leak a while back showing the set numbers and names on the lego site. Hogwarts Castle was listed and the Knight Bus. The Knight Bus set number is the same as the Hogwarts Express. So what I'm saying if that was wrong then could that mean Hogwarts Castle is wrong too.
