Rome - Forum of Nerva - 962 A.D.

Recommended Posts

Here my last moc. I love the idea of displaying the flow of time so i build this moc based on my diorama of the Roman forum of Nerva. The Diorama represents the Emperor Otto I visiting the Roman Imperial Fora Area during his stay in Rome, when he was crowned Holy Roman Emperor by Pope John XII in the year 962.

Soon i will add other parts :)

In the realization of the moc I was inspired by this image.

Always love your Rome builds. I really like the idea of showing how the ruins were repurposed into later buildings.

This looks very nice, not only in The builds but in the attention to detail to the posing of the figs. Thanks for sharing. ???

Fantastic stuff!! I love the way you've captured the idea of a fallen Empire. Great attention to detail especially the vegetation gradually taking over and I really like the castle/fort built in the ruin of the grand pillared forum building!!

Excellent work!!

Very well done clash of two epochs. The medieval people and their constructions look appropriately dwarfed and out of place in the face of rome's crumbling imperial past. Its quite a touching sight you caught brilliantly.:thumbup: :classic:

Its also fun to spot the little easter eggs you out in. Gandalf really comes around! :wink:

I can imagine living in the ruins of the glorious past. :thumbup:

But particularly like the 150 AD version. :thumbup::thumbup:

This looks really good. :wub::wub:

The detailing in walls and surroundings is tremendous and the variation in builds is a nice combination.

Great build! Thanks for sharing with us.

what a brilliant creation! :wub: what I love the most, is, as you, yourself indicated as well, this "flow of history"... a Roman temple becomes a market place, 400 years later, and another 400 years later, it's some sort of a warehouse and yet another 400 years later, it's part of a larger monument at the city center...

can't wait to see more stuff like this!

Thank you all for your appreciation ... For sure I will continue to realize both the ancient and the medieval age
