[GBW] - Troop movement - Erotema – Rocket launch exercise

Recommended Posts

The new rocket launcher tank is undergoing tests. For so, and in a combined exercise with SkyPie, who will check the accuracy of the new system, a test has been scheduled.

The MLRS tank and a support crew arrive at the designated area.

Erotema troops preparing the test. It is important to be ready for contingencies, such as a faulty rocket.

After a short time, the 24-rocket container is loaded in the launcher. White missile tips indicate they are dummy warheads, with guiding devices but a small explosive load, just to verify whether they fall in the designated area or not.

And the fire order is given

But one of the rockets had a malfunction and fell a few meters away from the launcher, beginning a small fire

As well prepared troops they are and fully aware of the importance of environmental protection, 2 soldiers put the fire out quickly

But the dummy rocket still has an explosive load inside. UXOs (UneXploded Ordnance) pose a threat to everybody, so the rocket must be disposed of. One of the soldiers in a bomb suit will blow up the rocket

The EOD technician moves back and takes cover for the final blast…

I like the story and the thinks that usually go wrong to the military. The "foam cone" is an interestng detail. Aaaaaaaaaaaand...the MLRS!!! Well done!

Nice build! The rocket launcer is great, good idea to use the anti stud of the 2x2 round bricks as tubes! I like the support truck with the checkerd hood and the roof pattern with tiles and studs is clever and works very well. Intresting story with the mishap. Great work all in all!

You've Been Awarded (3) Point(s):

Judges Comments (not all judges comment):

Tracked rocket launcher looks great, usage of the new existing chassis with a different turret.  Your vehicles remind me of a few G.I. Joe vehicles from back in the day. You started to adjust fro the background with white paper, but didn't finish, that actually drew my attention away from your build as well...still want to see that rug!  I feel that your display was underdeveloped for it's size.  You had a lot of open space, and for your story of the dud rocket, you needed that open space.  But had you shrunk this down to 1/3 the size, I feel it would have been WELL DETAILED.  Something to think about for next time!

You have some nice vehicles and a really nice MLRS with great rockets. I am a little disapointed with the terrain as it doesn't appear to be significantly different from other terrain that you have built. You may not be reusing the terrain (and I know that people have a certain building style), but I have a hard time looking at this compared to some earlier terrain builds and seeing significant improvement.

You can Update your AAR Post with your points to keep track.

Thanks for Playing!
