Can you do some photos with a technic figure too? How well he fits in the seat and what he looks scale wise to the vehicle as a whole, although this vehicle should be taller than him that's why it has the running boards

Although mine is not finished yet, you can see the scale of the figures compared to the vehicle (I'll make some pictures tomorrow with the figures in the seats):

@Jim It seems this set color code the port and the starboard sides of the model too, using 2L connectors in grey and red. I think you may want to mention this in the review.

Can you show us what you mean. I'm probably missing something

wish I'd kept my old lego tehnic figures. I also had the really old snow explorer figures that came with the model snow mobile centre and helicopter. But they got lost, still it looks nice with the figures trying to finish the build.

@Seasider - here are some shots with the Technic figure in the driver's seat. As you can see the scale is not the best, looks like a kid at the driving wheel :)

@Jim

Notice the 2L connectors going out from the differential:

Oh yes, you are absolutely right. I was thinking of something else.

I am almost certain of 2 things.

1. I am buying this in the near future.

2. I am not applying all the stickers.

Thanks for the review.  I love treads.  I added treads to my 8110 Unimog years ago. I am not too keen on the purple. Feels like there should be a Catwoman or Batgirl fig included.  I might recolor it if I buy the set.  :classic:

Thanks @kbalage shame it's not tech fig size but not a deal breaker for me.

100% going to buy this now. I agree I'm not going to sticker it, I think the only recent model I put stickers on were the little display jet and the Claas.

think a recolour and MOD session for me

Kinda pathetic that I am just getting around to view this.  :sceptic:

Terrific review.  Wonderful Saturday morning read.  Love that you added the poll with tire combinations.

Great review. I'm personally very excited for the set. Although I'm a little on the fence of whether the set should include treads or wheels, the treads do add the uniqueness factor but the aesthetics are much more pleasing with the tires. Many awesome features in this set as well, may have to pick this up sometime.

Last saturday I got my copy of this wonderfull model.

It kinda feels like you are building a MOC instead of a official set. There are so many lovely details in this set.

Foremost it is a very interresting build; fun from start to finish.

(Thanks again @Jim and @Sarielfor your lovely reviews and to @grohl for this BRILLIANT design!)

RE the above post.

I dont think they ((lego) need to colour code the parts in such a way. I think we can follow instructions pretty good.

Like you would on any other website. Depending on where you want the order shipped to, there may be restrictions and/or additional charges.

Just ordered one, that's a great offer for the release day. It makes this already reasonable set a really good deal.

Looking forward to start the build!

Fantastic model! I like the colour combination and the track system too. The opening door system is a beautiful innovation for the LEGO. Thank you Jim for the accurate review!

Going to build mine without stickers first. See how I like it. Some models look better with stickers some without. The BWE the stickers made it look complete, same as the Claas , but I left the stickers off the 2016 Lego Go Kart set, and it looked so much better.

First of all, since I discovered this site a few months ago I have greatly enjoyed your technic set reviews, they are by far the best, most detailed and to the point lego reviews on the internet, and such beautiful pictures to go along.
So thank you for that !!

This is definitely a very nice set.

I got back into lego recently (all started last year with a small photography gig needing a 360 turntable for multiple product photography, and as an excuse bought an EV3 mindstorm set to have a full 360 auto rotate turntable and have the legos trigger the flash and camera at every set angle, and auto sending it to Lightroom, all without lifting a finger, besides starting the mindstorm code), and this year thanks to your reviews, bought the 42054 CLAAS set.

Lastly as a web developer I couldn't resist figuring out why the 360 rotation in your review didn't work, so I investigated, the weird part is that it sometime worked and sometime didn't. And during my small investigation discovered that other people had the same issue when the height wasn't set and noticed your <img> element in the reel is missing t at height="...". Hopefully that should fix it.
