Lieutenant Nathaniel Brickford of the Corrington Marines. by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Nathaniel Brickford was born to the well-to-do parents of Major Richard Brickford and Eleanor Edwards. His father was a veteran of the 49 years War, before settling down on a farm in Northern Corrington to raise corn. Nathaniel grew up in a time of peace during the Second Era, so education and the learning of a trade were his parents main concern for him. Nathaniel worked on the family farm for his entire life. by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Nathaniel turned 18 shortly after the death of his grandfather, who was a Captain in the Royal Guard. He decided to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, so he enlisted in the Queens Royal Guard at 19. by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr He Left home shortly after to assume his new duties. He trained and worked hard to advance to the rank of Corporal in the Royal Guard. by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr At the age of 20, Nathaniel started to get a hunger to explore the new world. When the time came to re-enlist, and he heard news of a group of marines who were being shipped off to protect the interests of the Crown, he immediately enlisted in the Corrington Marines and received a commission as a Lieutenant for his service in the Royal Guard. As the sole heir to his family's fortune, he did not even need to work to live a   comfortable life, however he had a desire to make a name for himself. BOB 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Shortly after landing in Arlinsport, he purchased an old Naval Cutter (with the money his parents insisted he take) called the HMS "Barracuda" for the purpose of sailing around the Sea of Storms. He had started his quest that was sure to take him on many adventures and hopefully bring great wealth and a prosperous life. Imperial Cutter 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr   (OOC) This is my character and base storyline. I would like to participate in the GBS (I think that's the term for in-game money??) and grow to be an affluent subject of the Crown. I read in another post that most people start in Arlinsport, but I was never able to find a map showing it, any help would be appreciated in that department. Not really sure what else to say, so thanks again for all the help and I look forward to seeing you on the Brick Seas as I sailing for Corrington!   Oh, one more thing. The first, third, and fourth pictures are not my original work. I found them of LDD gallery and thought they would fit my story nicely. Just thought I'd mention it. Thanks again!
