Quick WIP shot on front end. Shaping proves to be difficult. Tell me what you think...

I like the interior but I think the front could do with bigger headlights or maybe some fog lights.

Other than that, great project, very detailed and unusual

Thanx both!

Headlights are this small intentionally, but I agree that the front needs some more lighting. I'll try to put in some foglights somewhere (but it will be a tight squeeze...).

I think you have some room for foglights direct above the little panel from the spoiler. I couldend see the black piece above it very good, but it seems there is some place for it there. Are you also going to make instructions of it?

Well the frontend is already pretty much packed... Here is a brighter image:

But I might try how the top grille structure with beams will look on bottom grille (although I'd hate to replace the propeller pieces, they are just made for a front grille...), that might make it easier to add some proper lighting to it. Or I have to squeeze something in the bottom corners.

I am working on a digital file of this model in LDCad, I might also try instructions, but I am not very experienced with that (maybe someone will be kind enough to help me with that, there are some real specialists on this forum:wink:)

Yes there are indeed, haha

If you have any questions about that stuff, feel free to post it here. Or you could PM me if you don't want it public.

Thanx a lot! Building in LDCad is going reasonably well already, but I'll definately keep this in mind when starting with instructions

Forget the colorsceem, but is this maybe an option for you?

I have the flexhose on the frontend of the 2l half liftarm and the structural connection on the backend, so that unfortunately won't fit...

It also has a bit tot much rally style to it which doesn't feel appropriate on this kind of model. I think I will try to add some brickbuild lights like in the 42056 Porsche front. But thanx for building along with me, much appreciated  !!!

For me the Frontend looks a bit like a Multipla. Not that bad as a Multipla, but it's to cluttered. Fewer and clearer lines might help a lot.

Yes that was exactly my doubt also, and the more I tried to fill gaps the more cluttered it got... I think I have to consider redesigning the front end altogether, recreating similar shape with different parts layout. Have to sleep on that...

Adding pieces to get a better look usually does not work for me. Instead I try to reduce the number of pieces and make the remaining ones flow together.

In your case I would not use the second line of flexaxles at the top (only use a set on the hood) and I would remove the white vertical 3L connector. If possible add a white 5L beam behind the numberplate such that the line is continuous 2L thick from left to right.

And allthough I like the look of the propellorblades as grille pieces I am not sold on the location they are in now. At such a low point 'normal' cars usually don't have a grille I think. Maybe they can work as the main grille, but then again, it is maybe too outspoken for a family car to begin with.

I've rebuild the front end, this is a rough version of the new look:

Old version for easy comparison:

Please tell me what you think and which one you like better.

That is way better!

Btw, after you changed the design, this 2parts (panel + bionicle tooth) looks like another headlight (which looks better than the other one).

Too bad that panel is not available in transparent colours... I do agree, the two bionicle lights are a tad small for such a big car. Some bigger lights in this area might do the trick. Although I think simple round or square lights will not look right, that slanted edge of the panel is something you would like to get in that light.
If you keep the panel I would at least relocate the indicator lights closer to the headlights so that they form one surface.

I think the bigger area around the headlight well-defined by the panel edges would make a good headlight shape without the flex axle

You mean something like this? Might actually work, yes

Hmm, I didn't notice that the "eyebrow" panels stick so much towards the front. I think the smaller panels would look better and make a more aerodynamic surface. With the current panel your smaller headlight version works better.

@LipkoI just threw some lights in there to get the idea... they can be moved forwards to give a better flow, and maybe need some rearrangement as well. I will work some more on this concept to try and improve it.

Nice edit by the way:thumbup::laugh:

Putting the smaller panel seems to do the trick. I will leave it like this for now. Thanx Lipko!

Looking good:thumbup:

That 24T gear looks a bit wobbly attached though

And are those DBG crossblocks needed to attached the white beam at the front? They kind of distract to me
