Detective Car

This car is my own design. It was based off various cars such as Deckard’s sedan from Blade Runner, the gray car in the live action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell, and the Renault Alpine A310 from Evangelion.

Detective Car

Here is the side of the car. As the sides are made using SNOT techniques, I had a lot of trouble getting the fenders to align with the wheels.

Detective Car

The engine is located on the back.

Detective Car

This is a police detective car, but the minifigs look like SWAT officers.

Very nice technique and original shape. Congrats.

Thank you. I had a lot of trouble figuring out the SNOT parts.

Some updates:

Detective Car

I swapped the two SWAT-style minifigs for a plainclothes police detective.

Detective Car

The seats were also pushed back a stud so that they would align with the doors.

Detective Car

That printed tile is held on by two clip holders.

Detective Car

The engine was also changed into a smaller circular one.

It's cute, in a blocky 80's car sort of way lol

I like the roof and door "handles", I've been experimenting lately with techniques for them

Now that I think of it, it does have an 80’s car feel to it.

More updates:

Detective Car

I changed the front to make it look closer to the Renault Alpine A310.

Detective Car

The back is more boxy, and has a license plate that’s barely hanging on.

This is a really interesting MOC, as it looks a lot like the delorian from back to the future. The way you made the doors is extremely imaginative and creative. on the downside the roof looks very fragile and I would be scared to pick it up. On the other hand the chairs are magnificent. I love the use of the 1x1 circular stud as a head rest. In conclusion I love this MOC. Good Job: )

I didn’t use the delorean as a reference, but now that I think about it, they do share the 80s car aesthetic. (I was originally going for gullwing doors.)

The roof actually holds quite well together, as a 2x2 plate underneath secures the parts.

Thank you for your compliment about the chairs , but I wouldn’t say the same as there are some more complex car seat designs around. I added the stud because they were one of the few tan pieces I had.
