TheLunabrick Posted April 15, 2017 This might sound strange but I adore the old LEGO Star Wars aesthetics. The sets and vehicles were noticeably smaller back then and less detailed. As someone who really likes a lot of the SW sets I have a habit of taking the set apart and trying to build it so its similar to a set from the older days. That way I still have the vehicle or playset but I also have more parts. Does anyone else do this as well?
Moff Muffins Posted April 15, 2017 I actually try to make some builds smaller, but try to cram in as much detail as possible at the same time. I very much like the Tie Advanced from the Rebels Set for example, because it looks more compact and yet accurate for the LEGO style.

INDYcec Posted April 16, 2017 I try to do this as well. Just a fan of how things used to be. I spend time looking through the early instruction manuels. Sometimes more isn't really better. I'm currently racking my brain over the sandspeeder, trying to get it more in figure scale and keep it simple. I think 7 would be a great width, but of course....7. And p.s., LOVE Nom Carver's work!
