[MOC] Singapore Skyline

Recommended Posts

I have never visited Singapore. But the marina bay area caught my eye when LEGO launched the Marina Bay Sands Architecture set. Som many fascinating buildings and landmarks in this city!

I have a personal connection to this city. My employee has an office there. Maybe I'll visit them some day :)

This is my entry for Marchitecture 2017 - Categpory 2: City Skyline

Singapore Skyline

Reference images (from left):

Gardens by the Bay
ArtScience Museum
Marina Bay Sands
Marina Boulevard Financial Centre
Singapore Flyer
The Merlion

Download LXF here (The new macaroni tiles are not in LDD yet so I had to leave them out. Also, the lipstick doesn't quite fit into the Merlion in LDD, but works with real bricks)

Wow, nice builds.  I understand Singapore is one of the cleanest and safest places in Asia. I would very much like to visit there.

I really like this and it is basically production ready from TLG...you should put this up in Ideas as well.  Great job all around on all facets of the skyline.

Thank you! I don't know about Ideas... I've tried to put some things up there before. I don't believe a single Architecture set ever reached 10.000 supporters.

Well done! As a Singaporean, I am very pleased to see the iconic Singapore architecture being featured in such a beautiful skyline MOC. I enjoyed it very much and it amazed me that you have never been to Singapore and yet based on the reference images, you can actually capture it so well. Thank you for sharing with us.

I like it.  Very elegant and accurate presentation of the Singapore skyline.  I can see the infinity pool on top of Marina Bay Sands.

This just reminded me that the last time I went to Singapore, the only thing from this that existed was the Merlion. ?

Then again, the first time I went to Singapore, the amusement park on Sentosa was Adventure Asia, not Universal Studios!

Great looking model, definitely put it on Ideas. I'd vote for it!

...and maybe if I'm lucky, someday I'll get to go back and see this part of Singapore in person.
