I voted yes. This is a lego pirate forum after all. I would love it if you could scan these images. I have the Ultimate Lego Book, but it doesn't mention pirates much. Oh well.

Yeeps, there seem to be a lot of polls getting bumped without any new content... :pir-sceptic:

Once they get bumped they seemed to get new content...

What does it mention though?

What does it mention though?

That there is a pirate ride in legoland and it says when the BSB came out.

I'd love to see the book Phes!

I've seen the show you are talking about in real life at a local department store, and just after that i've build my first ship! :pir-cry_happy:

Very nice. Some people really looks like some characters in the cartoon album of pirates from 1989.

Thank you :thumbup::pir-sweet::pir-laugh::pir_yoda::pir-classic:

I found the original links in the source code. They point to the Classic-Pirates.com site. Maybe somebody knows that person and he or she can reup them for us?

That person may be long gone...  :pir-oh3:

Do you still have those?

I'll take a look!  Except, being 14 years old, the resulting scanned images probably aren't particularly high quality or resolution.

That's fine lol. At this stage in our lives anything is better than nothing. Pretty much none of the existing scans are even close to 300dpi across all the fan sites. Hopefully they are legible where there is text.

Do you happen to have the 1989 Toy Fair catalog? Or any Toy Fair catalog?

I do not have any Toy Fair catalogues.

But check the first post of this thread, what you seek is now there.

An image for the back cover is not present but the Pirates Training Camp image file was incorrectly named, it just "camp" not "campr" so that's been fixed.

Wow, thanks for re-linking those images! I've been patiently waiting to see this for a long time.  Looks like Foul and Culverin were part of Redbeard's crew at one point!

I can't even remember if you provided those scans... or I did :pir_wacko:

That's a good observation!

I never noticed the resemblance myself, but perhaps that's because Culverin was depicted in the Golden Medallion Comic in different colours.

Not me! I'd love to have a physical copy, but it must have been you or someone else. :pir_laugh2: Yeah, that all-green outfit in the comic was pretty striking. I've been meaning to track down an extra green pirate from the last wave to make a Culverin figure, but I guess I could just use the blue pirate shirt too, haha.
